Think again (http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story&reid=96). ;)
Beast53 For the money for that TT Toughpower you have an Corsair HX1000 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139007) which is a different animal. :D
Or you have a deadly combo deal: Antec Signature 850 with Antec P182 gun metal black. (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371018)

honestly, if you are looking to spend that kind of money on a power supply, i would prefer to have a corsair 1kw over a thermaltake...but yes a quality 850w should be fine.

i love jonny and okwolf, but i still will not bring a coolmax into my house ;)

If I decide to crossfire the 4870 x2 in the future, im assuming im going to have to go more than 850w?

It's a high-end Sirtec not a Coolmax. :p

Nope (http://www.hardocp.com/article.html?art=MTUzMSw5LCxoZW50aHVzaWFzdA==). Even a Crossfire of 2 HD4870 X2 needs 550W DC from PSU with this setup:
the entire system containing an Intel QX9770, 2GB Corsair, RAM, the video card(s), 3 WD Raptor Hard Drives, a DVD/CDRom, a floppy drive, and a Koolance Exos water cooling system.
As Paul said
We used the new BFGTech ES-800 to power our systems.

So the TT i picked out should be fine then. Unless someone can recommend a better one for under $200?
is this one fine?

Seventeam Thundering 1000W Power Supply (http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story&reid=99)
If you can find that one for under 200.00...I wouldnt blink an eye buying it...
I bought that off of OK Wolf...received it Wensday...I have been putting this thing threw hell and back today...have had MM's (12-5-3.3) connected to it for over 14hrs so far and have yet to see this think even blink...all rails have been rock soild...
Key point I bought it...it has 4x6+2 PCI-E plug ins...so it will run 2 X2's without any adapters :D...
You can see sig for system specs...I will be upgrading to a quad-fire (2x 3870 X2's) here soon and I have no worries like I did with the OCZ 600w GameXstream PSU...
Also :welcome:

Glad to see it's working for you :D
It's also known better as the original Silverstone OP1000. The OP1000-E is their Impervio based replacement... not the same one.
The Coolmax 1200W is one I haven't looked at - while the 1350W was excellent, Sirtec build quality is variable enough I won't recommend that one until I can see it in action. Also, note that Coolmax overrates - the 1350W is a 1200W model.
