Hi,

well I am going to build myself a new gaming HTPC, probbaly with

Q9650 3.0ghz CPU
4x2gb ocz memory
P45 mATX DFI mobo
8800GTS (already own this component)
Antec fusion case

now the antect fusion comes with a 430W PUS which I do not believe is powerful enough, I am thinking I need around 600W but I am also hoping to make it as ;future proof' as possible for when I want to upgarde, ie I will probably upgarde my graphics card in the geforce 3XX or ATI 5XXX series.

The tricky part comes in with the fact it will also be a HTPC and also in a smaller case. So I am hoping for 1 to be as quiet as possible and also to have removable cables, so I can tidy up the insides :)

id say my budget is <£130 hope someone can help :)

At stock speeds a good 430-450W is enough for your setup.
As for new PSU take a look at Corsair HX520/620.

thanks :) that sorsair 620 seems great :)

430 really enough? as I put my system into an online PSU calculator for it to tell me I needed 550-600W :(

Yep, a Corsair VX450 or Antec EA430 should be OK. Fusion PSU is a Seasonic older design and I don't know how it will handle your future upgrades.
With a dual-core at 3GHz and an 8800GTS you need ~230W DC (http://www.hardocp.com/article.html?art=MTQzMSw2LCxoZW50aHVzaWFzdA==). Put another 50W for your Quad and you still are under 300W DC.
