That is good news indeed. As good as shaders have been developed, there is always something artificial in the way scenes are rendered....this would actually be a momentus advance in gaming....perhaps for CGI in general.:)

I cannot wait for a MMORPG with amazing physics and raytracing in real time. Maybe in 5 years or so.

Hopefully current internet connections can handle that level of complexity for online play.

That is very impressive indeed.

performance is demonstrated at up to 30 frames per second (fps)

Is this just for presentation purposes?

well i was under the impression RT could only be done on the cpu. though todays gpu's are rather close to cpu's with their unfied pipes. i wonder if they had to do some coding with cuda first for this to work. the only thing im kinda worried about is the power usage from 4 gpus. where as it seems intels approach for RT MAYBE better then NV's or ATI's. i will give it up to NV though, for running RT at that res with 30fps. that is feat in it self since the guy at intel doing RT wasnt running any where near that res for the demos in the past. he was running some form of widescreen res but i forget which res, i know it wasnt even close to 720p.
