I am running a e6420 in a ecs g31t-m mobo 4gb corsair ddr2 800 zalman 970 cpu
cooler how can I overclock my processor? I have heard I could push it to 3.2 on air, is that true?
The ECS G31T-M isn't an overclocking board. Has very little features for ocing so I doubt you'll get 3.2Ghz on that mobo. I have an E6400 and the best I got was 2.5Ghz on the same mobo.
Board lacks the voltages and ram dividers needed to get more. You'll be better off getting a P35 chipset board if you want 3.0Ghz + out of that chip you have.
