I'm afraid I'm going the way of the Adak, as well. Hearing that story put me over the edge. I was already doubting the people running Rosetta and the effectiveness (and usefulness) of this project but now I'm convinced that I'd be better off keeping my CPUs Folding@Home instead.
Sorry everyone. It was fun ;)

I remember when you first brought up that team foundership issue weeks ago Adak, I was wondering when the change would take effect. I don't blame you for leaving the project after reading your post, Ignoring somebody, especially somebody who is volunteering his time and energy, is incredibly rude. I have been disgruntled with how some of these DC project management teams have been treating their donor base for a while now, especially the folding@home project, but I'll leave it at that.
"All good things" ya know. Crushing the pirate team and overtaking OCuk was some of the most fun I've had with a DC project in a long time. Thank you Adak for your help in steering this team's ship back on track and best wishes for wherever your spare CPU cycles take you. :)

This is exactly the way I feel. Well said Ben.
We should really take a poll and see what people want to do.
Keep trucking,
Move back to F@H
Start another DC team from scratch(netdimes,WCG etc.)
Speak up everyone!

Well if people wanted to stick with BOINC I know 2 projects that we know that the founder is around.
ClimatePrediction I actually am the founder of our overclockers.com team and I don't plan on going anywhere.
http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/index.php
Einstein@home would be another option. I'm know I've seen SirLoin on the forums. http://einstein.phys.uwm.edu/
Or another option is just to keep going with Rosetta or whatever BOINC project floats your boat and go by the Combined Boinc project stat. Were 26th overall in the world at the moment.

I like the idea of staying with a particular project, and having a team work towards a common goal. We should have some feedback from the rest of the team first of all, then maybe we can get some feedback as to whether we're going to dicked around or not with any given project.
I do like the idea of Climate Prediction. Got anymore info on that?
Thank you for your reply Sun.

Climate Prediction, taken from the website.
What is climateprediction.net?
Climateprediction.net is the largest experiment to try and produce a forecast of the climate in the 21st century.
To do this, we need people around the world to give us time on their computers - time when they have their computers switched on, but are not using them to their full capacity.
So thats a description of the actual point of the project.
To describe the work units. The work units are HUGE. The ones I currently have on my PC take over a 1000hrs each. BUT they do reward points incrementally so you do not need to wait till you finish the project to get credit. A nice thing with the large work units is you don't need to worry to much if the project has a hiccup as you should have plenty of time left on your work units.
And I agree to that we should get more feedback from the rest of the members here. So speak up peoples! :)
Alright then. Fair enough. It was a pleasure Adak. Thank you very much for your time and effort.
I guess it begs the question. Who's gonna take the Captains Chair? I'll volunteer and try and hammer these guys for answers for a while longer, but if they keep this crap up I'm afraid alot of us will go the same way.
Just out of curiosity, have you checked with any other teams? Are they all having problems like this? I mean there are teams that have been at it a lot longer than us, why are they still around if it's so bad?
Rosetta's teams have had problems with two things, typically:
1) Getting a new team founder in place
and
2) Having some twerp try to "steal" the team, by becoming it's new team founder. Team Mauisun.org just had this happen (they're about 6 teams ahead of us on the same page of Rosetta's ranking).
This is related to BOINC's software, and BOINC has recently changed that policy in their software - sort of. They are holding their new policy close to their chests, so no one can exploit it too easily. When I asked recently, they told me it was now up to each project to enable or disable, team founder changes.
Rosetta may not have known that BOINC's software was still sending out the email to advise people like me who applied for foundership status, that they were now in the 60 days waiting period, and etc.
The rest of the problem is that this is a touchy issue, has run up huge threads in the past, and I believe no mod wanted to answer my posted question on the Rosetta board, because of it. This has risen to the level of talking about going to lawyers, so it's one hot potato, and a no win situation for Rosetta. Rosetta has nothing set up to differentiate a twerp from an honest folder, when it comes to taking over as a team founder.
My request just put me into a very awkward place with Rosetta, that they're not ready to handle, yet. Very odd considering it's been an on going problem for some time now. Badidtude, if your team has an active founder, (and most do), you avoid this mess completely. The key is the team founder MUST not have a spam filter, removing the emails from Rosetta or BOINC regarding applications for a team founder transfer, and must respond to those emails within 60 days.
I'm not aware of any signs that Rosetta is not a valid medical research project. Head Rosetta honcho David Baker, is giving a key note address to the bi-yearly convention of the international CASP group of protein researchers, gathering together in December.
@Ben - thank you, and right back at ya! This beat back of the Pirates and the Gauntlet last year, were great, weren't they? You added a lot of spirit and power, to both of those.

Might as well join in the fun. According to the thread: http://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/forum_thread.php?id=4482&nowrap=true#56821 it looks like they can be e-mailed about changing founders now.
I sent an e-mail explaining the situation again to them. As far as joining another project I feel this one has potential to help humanity the most, and I am really not a fan of folding@home.
If everyone's already decided to pack their bags, thats fine, but I feel several e-mails from the groups top crunchers should be more then enough to warrant a foundership change...

Got a response back to my e-mail already:
"I am willing to transfer foundership manually.
but I must warn the new founder that I may take some serious action
if it gets abused like removing an account.
just let me know who wants to be the new founder (username and
email). I'll look into his/her participation in the project and team
and if legitimate (active for a while w/ plenty of credit to loose if
they abuse the system) I'll email that person to confirm and try one
more time to contact the current founder (unless it's an inactive
member).

I am certainly not ready to pack my bags after all the work that's been accomplished by the team and by my poor machine that stays on full load 24/7.
Adak? Are you going to be our new founder or not? Come on! Seems to me like there was simply some confusion wrt the best and or most efficient way to actually contact these guys. Since you always seemed to be on top of things, I doubt anyone else really ever looked into these things and just ended up taking a one track approach. Big deal, happens all the time. Things aren't always intuitive.
Drew, thx bud. I was going to be all over this when I got home from work, but I'm glad you beat me to it.

Well I for one totally agree with Adak, who has only done the Best for the Team as a whole, and the Fact that the Founding member hasnt even crunched a single WU or been active on the Team since Sept 2005.
Adak applied for the New Founder Position Change, to Protect the Team, but is getting the Royal Dick around from Rosetta@home, there communication is sparse to say the least, and also comes down to Respect,
If Rosetta@home cannot Respect its crunching Members then WHY the Hell should we give up our CPU cycles & Electrity Power ( At Our Cost ) to them.
I was and have been Folding@home for nearly a year now, and if it wasnt for Adak, I wouldnt have known about Either FAH or Rosetta, and I came over to Help ( with what PC,s I & Wife have ) This Team out to get to where we are currently,
FAH has had its fair share of problems too, and little Repect towards it Members too from Stanfords Folding@home,
Costs are going up all the time, Hardware, Electricty, your time fixing problematic clients ect, helping others solve there problems hopefully too,
but in the long Run do any of them really care at Stanford Or Rosetta
I do enjoy what I,m doing wether it be Folding, Updating the Milestones Thread for T32 or here cruching Rosetta, well till now that is.
So now It will be one or the Other and seeing I was Folding member first, and feel I have let them down slightly and my PDD has taken a massive dive, should have been on Page 1 now,.
But all in all the comeradery here on both Fah/Rosetta Teams and OCF in general is the best I have ever experience, and hope thet will never stop.
So for now will cut back a couple of rigs and switch them back to F@H, and still a couple for R@H,
and thanks to baditude_df I wlll have a Quad for Christmas,
Then will have to see where and which project it will be allocated too.
It has been a great honour being part of a great Team,
Best Regards Jolly Swagman
Got a response back to my e-mail already:

It *is* simple enough, Trackdrew. It was perfectly clear 11 weeks ago, that either Rosetta passes out the elixir to eternal life & eternal addiction to all the team founders, or it needs to make the founder changes possible.
Only *today*, has David K come to that conclusion. :bang head
I wonder if he has the sense that God gave to geese, but let's not dwell on the unfathomable. :screwy::screwy:
Declining being the team founder is best, and taking a vacation from Rosetta, as well.
There was no confusion. My first post on this matter was in the mod/admin contact thread. There was no answer for 14 days. When the answer arrived it was not to contact David K. It was no.
Somebody's in over their head in knee deep water, methinks. It's 350,000+ points compared to 0, how tough can that choice be?

I'll just say that I don't plan on moving to another project. Primarily because, for me, nothing has changed in the last day or so to warrant a move. We just passed OcUK and there's no way in hell I'm giving them their spot back!!!!
So, I forge on. Besides, FAH is no real alternative. None of the reasons that caused me to cut back there have been addressed.
Since ADAK has declined to take over ownership perhaps we should nominate SunRedRX7 if he is willing.

I appreciate the offer, but I have to decline. I don't think I'd be able to offer the same kind of leadership Adak offered. My piratespeak is not nearly as good ;)
Also already being the founder for ClimatePrediction, I've always thought that the Team's foudners should be split up amongst various members of the site.
I think baditude would make a great founder.

Now, I'm happy to say, I am a business manager at headquarters, but unfortunately I was never able to totally get rid of the driller mouth. Still get's me in trouble from time to time.

The team founder transfer option was NOT disabled on the Rosetta site. I clicked the link, it gave me some info to fill out, I submitted the info, and it sent me the email telling me I was in the 60 day holding period to see if the present founder would respond.
Throughout the 60 days, every time I signed into our team page, it showed me as waiting for the 60 days to expire, along with the expiration date of that period.
After the waiting period, I clicked on the founder transfer link, the window came up advising me that I had completed the waiting period, and to click on another button labeled "assume foundership".
Does that *sound* like it was disabled, to you?
Only then does the window tell me that this function has been disabled.
I know that BOINC had disabled this function for awhile, so I checked with them, and it's been re-enabled, by popular request of the teams. Projects can individually enable/disable this feature, now.
So I posted in the Mod/Administrator contact thread of the forum, to have the transfer completed. This is a priority part of the forum. Your post should be answered in 24-48 hours. Mine got nothing for 14 days, until I started X posting to the other forums.
Then they just tell me no. :( No email this guy, or anything - just "no".
The current team founder has folded for 0 points. I've folded for 390,000, but I don't even get considered?
The only way to keep your team from being "stolen" is by having a founder who will check his email, and deny any attempt by a team thief, to assume the founder role. Or, you can trust the project administrator - like fun, I would trust this administrator. :p
If my request and my message slipped his mind, he could have sent me a pm or email saying so, when he saw my posts in the other Rosetta forums. But he didn't.
If TrackDrew hadn't seen a rather obscure post about this, I wouldn't even know that he had now decided to change the transfer policy. He never PM'd me, never sent me an email about it - nothing.
Either a project administrator is going to respect the people who are donating their time, computers, and money, to help their project, or they're not.
He's not, and imo, he can go to hell.
(BTW: you can only put in your own name to be the new founder)

Sunday Update! 16-Nov-2008
Alright boys and girls, there's no replacing Adak unfortunately, and maybe some day soon he'll come back and rejoin us in the capacity we have all become accustomed to. In the meantime, I'm gonna do my best to keep things up to date in this forum. I really don't do Pirate talk or sailor talk or any of that jazz, but I'm hoping that the RAC momentum that this team has built up will be enough to keep us motivated in our endeavor to climb up the ranks. I know it motivates me!
That being said, if we have volunteers for morale officer, step up! Your duties will be to go to the forums of teams we are about to pass, and see if we can get some folding wars going! YEEAAA! It's all for a good cause isn't it?
Back to business. Come to think of it, as far as I can see of the next 20 teams we have to pass, none have a RAC anywhere near ours. By the looks of their total points standings, it simply looks like some have been at it a bit longer than we have. No biggie for a team such as ours.
Our next overtake will be the Finland (http://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/team_display.php?teamid=844) team. We are only 33325 Points behind them but our current RAC is more than 4x theirs. Very Soon they will be in our dust just like so many others.
68 Finland 203 10,929 8,427,752
69 Overclockers.com 105 48,492 8,394,427
Looking forward, we are very quickly going to hit 8 digits on total points. With that in mind, if you have a look at the points standings you will quickly see that it 50th place is not far off at all! If our RAC stays as strong as it currently is of course.
Get the Skinny on team OCF! (http://www.allprojectstats.com/showteam.php?projekt=7&id=230)
More to come, but I have some work to do.

As expected, we should overtake them by the end of the day!
I'm not sure about everyone else, but I've taken another hit on my RAC due to alot of failed WU's and mysterious problems. I guess all you can do is post it in the problem thread and wait for a solution.
Seems like things got straight with 1.39 pretty quickly, hopefully some of the same with 1.40.
One thing I did notice though, when I did the reinstall to change out my Mobo, I installed XP 32bit to see if it would make any difference. 1.40 ran fine on that build. As soon as I went back to Vista x64, whammy! Epic Fail.

Well, as you can see, we are only 5000 points from overtaking the Fins!
By the time you wake up tomorrow, we should be #68.
http://img518.imageshack.us/img518/4889/nov17statusoe8.png
From there we have to pass a few more smaller teams with relatively low RAC and a few near or better than the Fins before we become #60.
We have a new target!
RUSSIA!
It won't be a cakewalk. Their RAC is virtually the same as our former Nemesis, OcUK, and their total points top ours by almost 1,000,000.
To beat their current score, and assuming that we stay at or better our current team RAC, we will need roughly 22days. Of course they are not going to stand still, so we're going to need some extra power. I for one have ramped the Q up to 3.8GHz just for the occasion, and am throwing together another quad rig as we speak.
Anyone with friends(OCF or otherwise) or family interested in lending their unused CPU cycles, get em BIONC'd up. I'll be on the recruiting trail as well.
Let's give em hell team!

NICE! That's really good news hitokiri.
What CPU's going in it?
E6400. Seems stable at 3GHz, but it was bitching hot at near 70c. Its running at 2.6 until I can replace the stock cooler. That Scythe Orochi in the classifieds looks mighty tempting...

We should be passing 3 more teams in a little more than a week.
The first of which Tears of Pain should be in our rearview in only a couple of days placing us firmly in 67th spot.
65 Taiwan 277 18,746 8,805,775
66 Tecno Computer Italia Team 95 10,170 8,756,823
67 Tears of Pain 17 7,468 8,556,157
68 Overclockers.com 105 45,797 8,472,947
Our team RAC has dropped slightly, but we are still climbing up the ranks steadily.
Keep it up!
Just so ya know, I still have a C2D E6600 running on Rosetta because the SMP F@H client doesn't like the network at work ;)
Minor contribution but I figure you could use the help!

You said "folded". That's past tense. You should really come back. This team is going places fast, and to keep that momentum up through the higher ranks, we're going to need all the help we can get!
Come on! Whataya have to loose? hehe.

Now we are in a couple of Hours about also Pass the Team Tears of Pain and then the Tecno Computer Italia Team
Have a close look at Taiwan Team they are stepping up there game as there RAC has increased by aprox 1500 in past few days

And past them we go.
Firmy in 67th Spot, and one step closer to the milestone of 60th! Well done team!
I'm not sure if Russia has the horsepower to pass Ukraine before we get to them, but it looks like we should be passing them at roughly the same time assuming they follow their current RAC trends.
ETA to Team Russia - ~30days
On to the next
- Techno Computer Italia Team! -
Judging by the distance and our respective RAC, it should take us just about a week to pass them.

Ok! First things first. I am very happy to see that our RAC seems to have stopped it's slow downward trend of the last few weeks
and is finally back on a slow rise. What good news!
I can attribute this, at least in part, to our new members (ie: Mr.Guv, Rambo, LeeMurray, LeeRoy, ohiosurfer) with a combined RAC of almost 850 in the few days since they started. WTF Gents!!!!!
Our staple members (ie: our top 20)have kept our numbers up, and provided us the continued ability of overtaking teams with lower RAC's. Thank you so much for your dedication people. The team would literally be nothing without you.
As for the standings, we are steadily chipping away at Tecno Computer Italia Team. We are now only ~157,000 points behind them which should be covered in just under 5 days at our current rate.
We are currently 866868 pts. behind our target Team Russia.
That represents an overall gain of 47582 since my update on Monday! Now that's progress!
http://i108.photobucket.com/albums/n6/pstirling/RHUpdate2.png
As far as I can tell, no teams within our reach have begun making a significant enough increase to their RAC to combat the rapidly rising OCF team! Maybe they don't see us? Maybe we're in stealth mode?
Pirates? Pffft. We're Ninjas!!!!!!!!!!
Nirates... the amazing hybrid between Ninja and Pirates. That's what we are ;)
My Q6600 is back on Rosetta full time and already my RAC has jumped back up a few hundred. Expect to be back above 2k within two or three days. (Going to borg the Athlon64 at the old family home this week, too ;) )
Look at us go!
My RAC should be climbing back up shortly.
I rig is sitting waiting for Rosetta work, the others should be back in a couple of days. (as soon as they finish current units.)

http://img152.imageshack.us/img152/5121/r2wc6.png
Our new members have really stepped up, and obviously our dedicated folders are holding fast with a few even making noticeable increases in production. Heck, even my RAC has taken a leap and still climbing.
We should be by Techno Computer Italia Team in 3 days or less, placing us firmly in 66th spot.
Keep it coming team. Nice work!
Borged the parents's Athlon 64 3000+ (only 1.8GHz... but it'll help!) ;)
Maybe we can make this next pass quicker than anticipated? heh
baditude_df
11-25-08, 01:35 PM
Yep, looks more like a little over 2 days! At our current rate, we need ~1.6days to get to their current position, and a bit more to account for the fact that they are moving upwards too, albeit at a much slower rate. If our RAC climbs higher, which looks like the trend, we will require significantly less time to overtake into 66th spot.
EDIT: Looks like our RAC has taken another 400 point jump today. Outstanding!

Heluva job people!
Happened so fast, I didn't even see it! We're already 30,000 pts ahead of them for heaven's sake.
I should be fired.
With a RAC of well over 48,000 we are gaining are looking at taking 60th spot much earlier than anticipated. From my calculations is should still be ~25days b4 we overtake both the Russians and Ukraine. We'll see I guess.
In other news, it appears we have a new RAC leader. leeroy! What the hell? Where did this guy come from? Does anyone know who he is? Is he able to see our forum? Someone should tell him to join in the conversation.

:welcome: Leeroy!
That is quite a farm/borg!!! Must be corporate...right?
It is a few few of my machines (any machine running OS X) but most of them are at the company I work for as IT Manager.
I should be adding about 5 - 10 more machines next week and then 5 - 10 more for following week. Most of them will be C2Ds a few will be quad cores. Oh and I think two of them will be Dual Xeons. Also next week I should get the i7 straightened out and overclocked it is just limping along right now. By January I should have 40 or so P4 2.4s to add to the farm that will do nothing but BOINC away.
-Till later everyone.

Well, regardless it's very good to have you with us leeroy.
Who turned you on to team OCF by the way?
member: wa77s (we used to call him twatts) used to work for me that's how I found OCF on the interwebs.
As for power I am using potatoes like Macgyver used to power his clock in episode 38 Out In the Cold. He mentioned he tried tomatoes but they ran fast so I think I am going to try them and see if I can get a speed boost.

Congratulations team!
We just passed the 9,000,000 mark!
http://img210.imageshack.us/img210/2751/ros3hx5.png
As far as standings go, we should be passing Mauisun.org in a few minutes putting us firmly in 65th spot. However, we won't be there for long. We should be passing team Taiwan sometime during the night for the 64th spot.
The next team to pass will be Team IBM.
At our current pace, we will pass them in little over 5 days. Of course our RAC is skyrocketing, so it should take significantly less than that.
Keep it up team, we're really on the move now!
PS:

11-29-08, 08:54 PM
Alright team. We're currently only 198,000 pts behind team IBM. We should be passing them in 3days or less to take 63rd spot.
This places us well within striking distance of our goal: 60th place and and the overtake of Teams Russia and Ukraine!!!
60 Ukraine 235 20,780 9,858,530
61 Russia 435 28,155 9,692,945
62 Uberguilds Network 206 7,515 9,393,809
63 IBM 194 13,609 9,298,559
64 Overclockers.com 11 57,342 9,100,651
From some rough calculations, at our current pace we should reach 10,000,000 points in somewhere between 10 days to 2 weeks. This should be right around the time when we overtake the two afore mentioned teams. I say "teams" because from what I can see Russia has just about enough RAC advantage over Ukraine to come damn close to passing them right around the time we get there. All of this takes into account their RAC staying stable. Of course it's rather hard to tell exactly what WE'RE capable of until our RAC stabilizes. I don't see that happening anytime soon, so it's all just guess work for now.
Keep givin em hell team, we're really doing a great job!

OMMFG! Has anyone noticed who's 12th on the Rosetta RAC list?
http://img258.imageshack.us/img258/2684/ros1to4.png
How'd that happen I wonder? We were 18th. Has something to do with the server issues of late perhaps, we'll see in a few days.
In any case, we are still gaining steadily on Team IBM. We should overtake them within the expected timeframe of 3days from my last post which would put us in 63rd spot sometime Wednesday night.

Team IBM is in our rear view. Hello 63rd Place!
http://img80.imageshack.us/img80/3192/ros2bv0.png
A full day earlier than expected, and as I can see by our RAC, there is a reason why. We have gained a full 3700pts in RAC since my last update and 110,815pts added to our team total in 1 day! There's must have been a surge of finished work accumulated during the last few days. Our previous days team point gain was 58,256pts.
Regardless, we have recently taken the #11 spot in the RAC standings. Give yourselves a pat on the back people, we are in uncharted territory at the highest RAC ever seen in team OCF history.
http://www.allprojectstats.com/usergraph.php?mode=1&projekt=7&team=230
Can't say enough about your effort on this one team! Very well done!
Now, on to business: 60th place and theRUSSIA/UKRAINE 1,2!!!!
We should pass UberGuilds Network sometime tomorrow and jump into 62nd spot. From there we will be poised to strike! At our current rate we're going to need roughly 10days to hit 10,000,000.
That's about what we'll need to overtake Russia and possibly even Ukraine.
In other news, Leeroy has reached and tidily passed the 200,000 mark.
Congratulations are in order!
Hell, it's only taken me 4 months to do the same thing.

This is a very busy week for us! Huge increases in RAC and climbing up the ranks!
So far today we have two rather significant pieces of news:
Firstly, and most significant, we have officially entered the top ten in the RAC standings!
As you can see, 9th, 8th and even 7th spot are well within our reach.

Second, we have passed Uberguilds Network to take the 62nd spot in the total points standings!
http://img407.imageshack.us/img407/9063/ros4fv2.png

lol

Also, it looks like we have taken the number 8 spot in the RAC standings recently. Mostly due to Leeroy going absolutely mental with the computing power. But some of us mere mortals have added a few thousand in there ourselves. Everyone is really pulling together and shifting into passing mode.

Hey Evilsizer, I came across your atom rig while I was searching the forums for the atom 330. Is that 276 RAC about what 330s average? If so, those atoms got more power than I thought. That's more than my Xeon's put out right now. Although their RAC should climb up a bit more since they just got bumped down to file server duty without much other load. Changed the OC a bit too, 233x13 instead of 200x15 and I enabled HT.
Anybody else running Atom rigs? Would like to see some numbers. Shame to see a $80 atom board and chip keep pace with yesterdays Xeons...
Also, we're only 113K points behind The Planetary Society.
sorry i never saw this reply till now, thanks to benbaked pointing it out in another thread. well the RAC has gotten into the 300's when i checked a while ago. Atom 330 is down atm since the PSU fan is on the fritz. i will be getting 2 pico psu's for both Atom 230 and Atom 330 setups. i would check for them in the next few weeks.

I also noticed that we crept to 7th place in the RAC standings. Hehe -> NICE!
Well done team!

We're quickly gaining on the Russians, and will be passing them sometime Monday Morning.
http://img257.imageshack.us/img257/761/ros1fg1.jpg
From there we'll need another 8 days or so to pass team BIONCstats for 53rd place, an we're still on track to make the Big 50 about a week into the newyear!
I see our overall team RAC has taken a bit of a dive. Probably something to do with this:
http://www.ocforums.com/showthread.php?t=588713
However, we're still in 8th place in the team RAC standings, so it looks like whatever's going on here is most likely happening to everyone else.
Anyhow, we are still going strong, and making miles quickly!
Keep it up Team!

Great News ,,, on how the Team is progressing along, and also some great news too here, the Old P4 s478 M/B Died but CPU is ok,
So anyhow ended up getting a New M/B GA-G31M-S2L and 4Gig 2x2Gig XMS2-6400C5/800
Vantec Ion2 2+ 550W PSU and for now have dropped in a E2200 which is running @ 3.34Ghz cooled by AC-Freezer7 Pro Temps are 24-26C idle and 40-44C Load,
This will get replaced with the QWADI ! when it comes
Also Has my Wife's XFX GF-7600GT 256 XXX edition in there too, as she got Palit GF-9800GT Sonic 512MB for her rig, for Christmas
So now will Download the newer 6.4.5 Boinc Client too see if its better,
Edit _ Have installed the New Boinc Manager 6.4.5 on all R@H PC's except the Wife's PC ( busy with 3D Meshing/Modelling @ moment ) but I will get to it too!

Well, I'm off for Christmas break!
B4 I leave however, I'd like to go over a few things.
First off, we are still rapidly approaching 50th place in the total points standings. The following chart shows each team's current points total and RAC as well as our projected overtake of all teams between us and that goal, taking each team's RAC into account. As you can see, Apple Inc. will pass CRCUWS just before we get to the 50th spot making them the team to beat. This should be in just over 16 days if each team's RAC stays steady.

Second, It looks like an old friend has returned.

Since late November Pixie has steadily rebuilt a RAC of over 5000, and is sitting firmly in 3rd place for Team OCF both in RAC and Total Points! Nice to see you back Pixie.
Third, to our Top 20, who make up over 98% of our team production. You are the backbone. Without your computing power we would be lying dormant back in 100th place like we were back in August. Thank you for putting us on the map and making us a force to be reckoned with.
And to our newer members, making up the remaining 2%: So glad you could join us this year. Alot of you have put up some impressive numbers in the short time you've been with us. I'm looking forward to see what kind of numbers you can put up in the newyear! Thank you.

A bit of an update b4 the newyear.
As you can see, we are set to overtake Team BIONCstats in a little less than 2 days.
Also, we are still on track to overtake Apple Inc. for 50th spot ~ 1 week into the newyear!
http://img513.imageshack.us/img513/111/rosqp1.jpg
Positions 49 and 48 will be ours less than a week later. As you can see, 47th spot will take a bit more time, since there is a 560,000 point gap to cover there.
Regardless, if our competition stays at a steady rate and if we stay at a current or greater rate , we can expect to be in ~20th position by this time next year! The point being, all teams visible on the horizon and beyond will be inevitably overtaken. Resistance is futile, you will be assimilated, end of list. lol
We are certainly looking to start the newyear in a very strong position.
Keep it up team, you ROCK!

Boy, our team RAC has really taken a dump over the last few days. What's the word on that everyone? I mean, it's still higher than I had ever hoped for, but it's dropped almost 10,000 in less than 2 Weeks.
I dropped ~500 pts so far, due to the fact that I'm currently using my Folder as my main rig until I put my i7 machine together. So, it's only folding nights and work hours instead of 24/7.
What about the rest of you?

01-04-09, 05:45 AM
I couldn't get new tasks for about 24hrs this past Thur-Fri. I've now set my task buffer to 5 days from the default .25 days.
I haven't had my C2D crunching since the 19th because it's at work and everyone left... they really stress turning off systems when the department is shut down.
Will be back up tomorrow.

I haven't been able to get any new tasks either. It appears as though others are having problems getting work units too...
http://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/forum_thread.php?id=4460
I think it's a combo of lack of work, and the "wonderful" wu's that are going out. (and Christmas.) My RAC has dropped almost 1000 in about the past month, and nothing else has changed.
Jolly-Swagman
01-04-09, 01:46 PM
Yeah I too have noticed the lack of New WU,s issued and also the few Comp Error ones lately too but before Christmas they were ok and have also dropped RAC about 570pts this week.
Some WU's they have only been given a third of the point value too!!
My Linux PC hasnt had any New work since the 22nd Dec
baditude_df
01-04-09, 02:57 PM
All good points.
Well, I haven't had a lack of work, but I have noticed that my total cache of DL'd WU's is only .75 Pages long. Definitely not 10 days worth, not even 5. Which is odd.
Also, donuts, what do you find different about the WU's. I haven't noticed a change. My PC does all the work, so I don't really notice. Are they just taking longer to complete?
Not so much as longer to complete ( because you tell it how long to run), but I should have said, lack of credit for work completed. I attributed my lack of cached wu's on the number of failed ones I had when we had power problems. I'm out of work now and I'm set for 5 days. (One other rig had issues with BOINC getting to much work so I ended up with a bunch I had to abort after the due date. I ran a few of them and noticed I wasn't getting any credit for them). Like Jolly-Swagman pointed out, some have only been given a third of their requested points.

I have noticed that mine are having a hard time picking up new work. I added one more machine and it is sitting there idle waiting for work. I am adding 2 more tomorrow and hopefully they unleash some work soon. I noticed Leeroy has taken a big hit too, his rac has dropped over 6,000 alone, it has got to be the lack of work.
Right now the servers are down, hopefully tomorrow somebody can kickstart them.

From there it's going to take another 5 days to bridge the ~200K gab between us and Team VTC.
Team HardwareBG ROSETTA Team @ BOINC at #48, although at a lower point total, will take longer to overtake than both PCTuner Research Team Italy and BOINC@Denmark, due to their significantly higher RAC (~27,000). This will take us just under 20 days at our current rate as we will have to bridge a gap of ~500K by the time everything is said and done.
Our RAC, although substantially decreased since last month, is still enough to allow us to comfortably pass all teams on the horizon.

What happened to Leeroy, when I first joined the team his rac was up over 25,000 and at xmas it started dropping. Did he shut some of the servers down and go on vacation?
Do you think rossetta will join in on the boinc cuda project so we can use our gpu's also? I was trying to do some searching around but didn't find much.

We could do all the recruiting we want. I personally have 3 friends folding Rosetta since I took over as founder. I could talk so some moderators and see if it's okay to put up some stickies in all the OCF Forums or something like that. I just haven't gotten that far yet. TBH, I am perfectly happy with what we have. There are alot of key OCF members who crunch for us, and we have a very powerful team. Also, we're not actually going to need a RAC increase to climb the ranks until we hit 13th spot.

The Q9550 is a crunching machine. Check my sig. It runs Sub 50 load temps under water all day long. Ultra Stable at 3.83GHz and low volts. The 12MB cache is the real clincher over my 3.8GHz Q6600 though. I will never get rid of this chip.
My i7 should be showing up any day now, then we'll see an increase in RAC. It's brolloks' old setup that is confirmed to run 4.2GHz. I'll have both those bitches running full bore 24/7.

I am probably going to put the freezer on it either tonight or tomorrow. I would like to get it to 3.5ghz. I am using windows 7 beta right now too and I have been out of the loop as far as monitoring software and ocing for so long it is all new to me again.

My core 3 (0,1,2,3) has always been stuck at 60deg to TJMax or 40DegC as displayed in RT. It's not just you.
It won't move until that core reaches less than 60deg to TJMax, then it reads actual temperature.
The other 3 cores are not stuck and typically read ~31-33DegC at idle/45-50DegC at load.
I've been folding on Windows 7 since Sunday and it is perfectly stable. Actually it's perfectly stable for everything else too. I love it.

From there it's going to be roughly 9 days until we snag 48th spot from BOINC@Denmark who will be getting passed by the current #48 team HardwareBG ROSETTA Team @ BOINC. From there it will be roughly 16 days until we pass them too, firmly taking the 47 spot.
We have some stiff competition on the horizon, in the form of Team VTC currently in 46th spot with a RAC only slightly lower than ours at 55,757. They are gearing up to take off on us. We cannot let that happen!
They are our new target!
At our current rate it is going to take us ~135 days to pass them. We need everyone's help to take it to these suckers.
I have an spanky i7 rig coming online this weekend that should add at least another 3-4000 to our team RAC.
How about everyone else?

They are Vermont Technical College. And it's looks like they've been doing some recruiting.
They've also moved ahead of us in the RAC standings.

I'm not going to let these panzies do this. We need to retake our former glory and pass this team before this gets out of hand@!
Who's up for the challenge?
My bet is that we can pick up production and put these guys in our dust. Anyone else with me?

I'm in. I got both quads fired. Hopefully my true 120 gets here tomorrow so I can ring mine out. The wife's q6600 is at 3.2. My rac is climbing, I guess it will take a week or two to get to full rate. I will have my old athlon back in the fold by tomorrow night.
I think I can get away with running it on one more pc at work. I will see what other recruiting I can do.

Former glory? IIRC, it took a bunch of pirates to get us to our current stage.:D
For those that don't know, we were like 102nd and falling, we were the "victims" of a "boarding party"... I wonder if they ( the Pirate Fleet) finished cleaning up the "cheesy poof" residue yet.

Lol, yes it did donuts. But what I was referring to is, just a few weeks ago we had risen to ~70K RAC. A far cry from our current rate. Alot of that drastic drop comes from Leeroy downsizing his farm, but even my RAC has dropped a bit due to only having one rig for a few weeks, and various team members have scaled back for one reason or another. I've got enough power coming on line within the next week to push us up over 60K, if we had a few more people to do that, we would be back in the top 10 for RAC in no time.
My RAC has actually climbed back up:confused:. (where it was before the holidays).
Thumbs up for the new hardware coming on-line, I'm currently "bargain shopping" for parts so I can finally retire my antique dp Opteron rig.
I found it locked up yesterday with a "out of virtual memory" error.:bang head HUH it's never done that before.

I think some of the reason peoples racs are climbing is because of the steady flow of work units now, there right around xmas is when they had that spurt of servers being down. I would love to build two more quads but it will have to wait for a little bit.
baditude_df
01-26-09, 09:56 PM
Well the reason my RAC has started to climb is that I put a new temp machine together on my bench with some parts I had here. Since I just picked up an i7, I won't be using this for long, but regardless it means that my dedicated folder can now be dedicated to folding.
The RAC has gone up 200 pts in only a few days.
NUTNDUN
01-27-09, 07:53 AM
I don't know what is going on but the work units the 9550 is getting now are taking longer and are less points then what it was doing. I was having compute errors and I figured no big deal I planned on redoing everything because my second hd showed up yesterday and I planned on a raid 0 setup. I got everything setup and working again and the work units it is working on are taking almost a 1/2 hour to and hour longer and netting 67 points a pc, the other wu it was working on it was getting over 100 pt a unit. Are they switching stuff around with the work units. I know they had talked about it.

Don't RMA, there's nothing wrong with it. Just stuck sensors. It happens to almost everyone with a 45nm quad. Just use the two working sensors as a guide.
I can also provide you with thermal behavior of my Q9950 at different frequencies and voltages if you want. I'm one of the lucky one's with only one stuck sensor.

Typically all that is needed is to raise the Vcore to ~1.375v for 8.5x450 = 3.83GHz.
With LLC enabled I'm seeing ~.022v Vdrop and ~.032Vdroop at load.
FSB voltage +.3v
MCH Voltage +.3v
PCIe Voltage +.1v
LLC enabled.
Trd 8
GTLRefs - Auto
MCH/CPU Skews - Auto, but 50/100 helps as you push FSB higher.
DDR Strap to NB 4.00D or 3.33D depending.
DRAM = 1800 @8-8-8-18 2T (of course I have strong DDR3)
Under high end water, this setup runs mid thirties on idle and mid to high fourties at load, at room temp ambient. By keeping things this cool, I can cut down on Vcore somewhat. You may need 1.4-1.45v for the same overclock under air cooling.
This is on my GA-X48T-DQ6 so BIOS settings shouldn't be a whole lot different.
Make sure your RAM is scaled back so it's out of the equation.

I know my ram doesn't like to be oc'd. I will try your recommended settings, I don't know what all the different voltages are from what you have there and what they are in the bios. I will try my best.
The thing i don't understand is I had it crunching away at 3.7 fine and i decided to try folding @ home on the gpu at the same time and while oc'ing the video card it all locked up on me so I uninstalled all of the folding and gpu oc'ing software and then that is when all of the compute errors started while it was still at 3.7 so it is now running stock speed. I don't know if I could have messed something up or not.

And yes, the 9550 is ramped back up to 3.83GHz. I love that chip.
On another note, has anyone had a look at the top member RAC over at the Rosetta Homepage?
It looks like the RAC from our Mysterious Nemesis VTC is actually being generated from one single account under the name VTC3.
http://img89.imageshack.us/img89/9018/ros1tu7.png
After visiting the teams web page:http://solstice.vtc.edu/
it appears that VTC3 is actually an account created for a cluster of machines which exclusively crunches Rosetta projects for the Vermont Technical College computer club.
OMFG!
We're getting pwned by a bunch of computer geeks!!!
We, of course, are not computer geeks. No Sir! We are a highly skilled group of overclocking killing machines, and we should be making short work of these basement dwellers!
COME ON TEAM! WE NEED MORE POWAH!
However, we have been making gains and our RAC is still climing.
We will be making another pass soon. Team BOINC@Denmark will be in our rearview in just over a day.

If we stay at our current rate or better, we are looking to be in 44th place by the end of the month! This is the good news, and you should give yourselves a pat on the back.
The not so good news is that VTC is no longer even on our radar as they have increased their RAC at a much higher pace than we have.
We'll get em eventually.

Get some Gskill DDR3 like I do, hehe. Even the 2x2GB set will do 1800MHz at stock settings. Excellent stuff.
I've got a good chip, but it takes 1.4Vcore to do 4Ghz and still crunch stable with no problems, even under water. That may have something to do with the fact that it's an X48 based board and not a P45, but I'm quite happy with that. You may find that you will start to have crashes at 1.3Vcore. It takes 1.35v to do 3.83GHz stable, and that's where I keep mine.
In my experience, you shouldn't have to have your FSB VTT much over 1.2v, and the GTLREF voltages ~+/-40mv. This should help with keeping temperatures down as well, but if you need 1.3v, you need 1.3v. I dunno.
NUTNDUN
02-01-09, 07:50 PM
I agree. I have it at 4.03 now. I will start backing off voltages as low as I can while still keeping stability. I would like to get different memory. The prices on the 9550 are coming down and i think I will get another one and swap it out with the wife's 6600 and use the 6600 for the kid's computer. I will see about getting better memory too and put my old stuff in the kid's. Congrats on the #5 spot and soon to be #4 spot. I think you may even get to #2. I am curious to see where the racs top out with our newly added systems.
baditude_df

Yes, I'm quite curious too, I can't believe the production these i7s put out and I know this 9550 will do at the very least 3000 by itself if left alone.
But I gotta tell ya, I'd rather see a race than a blowout. We'll see what happens when you have a second 45nm under the hood.
Is the 9550 really good for that much? I know my q6600@3.2 does about 1900 rac.
I only ask because I've got a 9550 and a GA-EP45-UD3R on the way. I'm thinking the q6600 in the UD3R and the 9550 in the Gigabyte EP45T-Extreme. Any thoughts?
I'm just hoping I can get these things going before I get run over.
NUTNDUN
02-02-09, 06:41 AM
Donuts,
I think you will be extremely happy with the 9550. I was looking at all of the top computers and once you get down to single quad cores the 9550 seems to be holding it's own even against the i7's but then the i7's haven't been crunching for as long so that it still to be seen.
I just wish it didn't take so long for the rac's to stabilize.
You don't have to worry about getting run over LOL. Mine are going to peter out before they get to your current rac. If everyone else stays the same you will probably stay in 2nd with the new addition, batitude will be third and I might make it to 4th. I think leeroy stopped production except for maybe 4 or 5 boxes and it is leftover rac still keeping him up there. I would love to see him come back to full production. We would be in the top 10. As long as drshivas isn't holding out on unleashing another beast I may be able to pass him, time will tell. I just like seeing all the dust that got kicked up LOL.
You guys are going to make me get a third quad before I am ready to spend the money LOL.
Right now I'm glad it takes rac that long to stabilize. If it didn't I'd be passed already.
The 9550 rig was going to take the place of my dual Opty rig that's starting to get flaky. Then my main rig (q6600) went down with a dead board. My rac won't be gaining much, right now I just want to stop the bleeding.:(
NUTNDUN
02-02-09, 08:11 AM
What board is it that went down?
I think you would be good putting the 6600 in the ud3r, I had the wife's at 3.4 perfectly stable but I dropped it down till I get a chance to keep track of it more to see where it benefits the most.
I don't know anything about the extreme board so I can't help there.
I noticed with my q6600 that it always seems like the claimed credit is always higher then the granted credit and my 9550 is always granted more credit then what is claimed. I need to set them to the oc I want them to always run and detach and reattach and see if it fixes some of it.
You should be able to get the 9550 up and running before I would catch ya. Batitude is starting to roll on pretty good.
Oh btw, we are over 60,000 for team rac again. Way to go team.
It was an Abit IP-35e running a q6600@3.0. At least I hope at this point it's the board. The only thing I haven't changed yet is the CPU. (I'll wait 'till spares get here.)
As far as claimed and granted credit, I think it's just the nature of the beast, much like the RAC jumping all over.

I would hope it is the motherboard. 3.0 isn't even enough to make the 6600 sweat.
You know what is really funny is back when I built my old computers and was really heavy into watercooling and oc'ing I would only use abit boards. I hated gigabyte because the one I had gotten for the exwife's pc was so finicky just on stock settings every other day it would **** me off.
My old abit board lived a long life and is resurrected as my dad's current machine but what is weird now is it has become finicky with it's settings and all of the hardware stayed the same other then a different case and psu. Now i love the two gigabyte boards I have now. It is like one big vicious circle LOL.

I noticed with my q6600 that it always seems like the claimed credit is always higher then the granted credit and my 9550 is always granted more credit then what is claimed. I need to set them to the oc I want them to always run and detach and reattach and see if it fixes some of it.
You dont have too detach the client just Run the Benchmarks in the Drop down list whenever you have changed CPU speed.
It will then once it has communicated with the servers reset the client optimisations

That's awesome info swag. Thanks
I had done that before but only to see what it showed.

I wanted to add that 47th spot will be ours in 2-3 days at our current production levels.

A while back someone asked me what I meant when I said we need to restore our former glory. Take a look at the following chart:
http://img50.imageshack.us/img50/3274/ros12km9.png
We are well on our way to restoring that RAC we once enjoyed. On the solid foundation laid by our dedicated staple folders, two of us have ramped up production and increased almost 6000 pts. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure how high we could go if 10 more of us made even a moderate jump.
Now, we are on the verge of making another pass. Team HardwareBG ROSETTA Team @ BOINC will be overtaken in just over two days at our current pace.
http://img155.imageshack.us/img155/604/ros14uh6.png
Team Planet 3DNow! will be passed only a few days later to put us firmly in 46th spot!
If our RAC keeps increasing at this pace, we will pass Intel Corporation and CANAL@Boinc and be at 44th place in a little less than two weeks. That is progress!
After that there is a ~200,000 gap to bridge to get to 43rd place so that is looking to take ~1month or so.
If you will notice there is a distinct absence of a 44th place team on this list. That is because it currently belongs to that dirty bunch computer geeks VTC! They've jumped off our radar but their RAC is currently only 5000pts higher than ours.
Team, we need your help to put them down. We can't go down without a fight. I know we can increase our production to a point where no one can outrun us until we hit the Top10!
We are Team OCF dammit!
CHARGE!!!

Here's a little bit of background on VTC.
http://allprojectstats.com/usergraph.php?mode=1&projekt=7&team=4332
Acording to this, not since this teams inception have they been above our top RAC of 79,421. They are certainly on track to do it now, especially if you have a look at this: http://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/hosts_user.php?userid=133778
This is something I was pondering the other day, and Ben had just PM'd and reminded me. Ben brought up the point that the RAC on alot of those machines seem awfully low. Meaning that at the drop of a hat, they could turn it on and blow everyone out of the water.
I was thinking that myself, and then I got to wondering, why isn't their RAC increasing at an astronomic rate? With power like that, you'd think it would be. My guess is that with 250 machines running full tilt 24/7 the only thing that would be astronomical would be the power bill, and they most likely have to answer to someone for that.
Either way, it's a bit odd. If you have a look at their stats, in the last month the overall trend is up, but they keep making jumps, then standing still, then jumping a bit, then falling a bit.
One thing is for certain, we'll never know if we can take them if we don't try.
I'm trying damn-it!:p
BTW, I do know which former glory we're talking about.
VTC Will be passed, I feel it's just a matter of when. With the teams hard work we are currently 17th in RAC, and able to sustain it.
Power for 250+/- rigs is expensive, but how many people are actually tending them? In a Uni setting are they dedicated rigs? For that matter to they have the "will" to stand up to the OCF juggernaut? They can run (fast) but they can't hide.
Now that tax time is here, you know that upgrade you've been debating? Yeah a quad won't run those games any faster, but Rosetta will keep the extra cores busy for you (and help the team ;))
Ol' Bad & NUTNDUN, I hadn't planned on joining the race but.....

LOL, I doubt you'll be racing me donuts. It is batitude you have to worry bout now. His i7 must be working hard. I hope your replacement parts are coming soon.
I can only hope that things work out and I can get another quad going.
Quite a few people seem to have kicked it up a notch.
Pixie is crunching away and maintaining galactic leadership. Ghost recon's rac is climbing and so are a few others.
All parts have been shipped, but it looks like it still will be to slow to save me. Baditude's RAC is within 50 of mine, so he WILL be taking the 2nd spot. Taking and keeping however...
Now if only I could win the Powerball and field enough rigs to catch Pixie.
FWIW, anyone can have the 2nd spot, they just have to take it.:)

I would love to have the financial stimulus to fund building about 20 quads, but then I would have to win the lottery to pay the electric bill. I will enjoy watching you and batitude duke it out for 2nd.
Mine seem to be stuck around 4200 right now. If my 9550 would put out around 2,500 or more and the 6600 at 2,000 there is no reason I shouldn't be able to hit 5,000 rac but it seems it isn't happening for now.

Alright, the ben.World.order is not going to fall back any further in daily RAC position dammit! lol. I just need one more stellar heatsink, a TRUE or a HDT-S1283 for my 975x rig, I WILL tame this unruly beast of a QX6700.
The ben.World.order is back.

Man I've gotta get my Q9550 stabilized, it keeps on rebooting during the night :( I think it's this cursed F8a BIOS on the UD3P ) I gotta flash back to F7 where I had it going @ 8.5x500 :D I've also gotta get my E8400 above 3.6GHz :(

That's the way gents! All you can muster is all we can ask for. We're really going to start soaring now! Right on!
donuts - I know buddy, just get yer arse in gear is all. lol.
Ghost - which version of windows are you using? This was happening to me with Windows7 beta until I switched off sleep mode. I had months of rock solid folding with this 9550 @3.8GHz, then all of the sudden it started shutting off in the middle of the night. Brutal. Then my i7 started doing it.
The odd part was, the machine would restart as soon as I moved the mouse, but all of my programs would be closed and I would get the message that I just recovered from an unexpected shut down.
Sleep mode should be disabled by default IMO, not enabled. I will include this in my feedback.

A new TRUE, and a 3k RPM Ultra Kaze, are on the way. As well as a couple of Acceleros to help tame the godawfully insanely high temps of my 4850s as well, and some TR PWM heatsinks designed for the 8800GT/3870 (but they look like they'll fit the 4850 perfectly). Now what we need is a Rosetta@home GPU client. :santa:

Get navig to build you a bench, and put the brolloks bracket on there so you can mount 4 overhead fans like so:
http://img187.imageshack.us/img187/9125/imgp0222kv0.jpg
It keeps EVERYTHING cool. Including the GFX.
Not sure if you have looked into these, but ~The same price as a good case and so worth the money.

Now what we need is a Rosetta@home GPU client. :santa:
Yes they do :D One that works on both nVidia and ATI cards.
FWIW, RAC-wise, Leeroy and Bad have passed me, NUTNDUN, your only a couple hundred behind. Congrats!
Would a GPU client be worth it on one of my TNT 2's?

I am trying my best donut, for some reason my 6600 sat on work units all day and I kept watching my rac move down slowly then the 9550 would send a few in and it would teeter totter back and forth and here when I finally got home the 6600 sent it's work units in and jumped the rac 150 pts.
ghost, I had the same problems with mine and windows 7 as batitude explained. I set all of the power options to always on and it hasn't happened since. Only problems I had were compute errors till I got the oc stabilized.
We are on a roll guys, we will be above 70,000 again before we know it.
I would still like to know what happened to leeroy.
Donut, I am going to do my best to pass you before you get em fired up again ;)

Donut, you're back in 3rd spot. Leeroy's rac is dropping like a sac of bricks.
What happened to Leeroy? Has he posted lately? Is he alright?
Congrats to batitude for the jump to 2nd position. I am curious to see how this all pans out once donut get's his machines back together. I am also curious to see where that i7 tops out at. I may get to use some of our tax money to build another quad. I am debating between another 9550, 9650 or an i7 but I am not keen on spending the extra money for ddr3.
baditude_df
02-03-09, 09:11 PM
The 9650 would be nice for the extra multi, but honestly, the 9550 goes so high already. I couldn't justify the jump. Unless you found one on the classifieds, then that's a differnt ballgame.

02-03-09, 09:34 PM
I think you are right with the 9650. I have the 9550 running at 4.03 right now and what the 9650 is another 60 bucks give or take a few. I would be better off getting the i7. That's why I am patiently waiting to see where yours gets to.
What do you have the i7 oc'd to?
