Hey, is it possible to get eSATA to work on the standard version of the ASUS maximus formula??
If so, How???

Aye, i have the connectors, but the OS wont recognize them as hot swappable, i have to reboot to get xp x64 to discover it. i was hoping to have it as hot swappable

If you go into disk manager and do a rescan disk, this should help your hot swappable adventures.

Its still wont turn up when i run "rescan disks". if Ive had it plugged in and then unplugged it and then run rescan disks then it dissapears and wont reappear once its plugged in.

EDIT:: I sorta got it working. every time i plug it in i have to go and tell it to check for new hardware. Does anyone have a better way of doing this? maybe a little more automated?
