Where is a good reliable site i can go to get the absolute latest ATI Drivers.. The "Leaked" drivers i suppose.. :p
also.. whats a good HSF for this card and are those copper ram sinks that are nickle plated really worth it or just regular copper sinks? also anything better than the copper sinks for ram (other than H20) ...and use artic alumina to attach the HSF and ram sinks i know ....but what i dont know is how to use that stuff ... how do i mix it and how long do i wait and all that jazz..
please no links to artic silver site... they just ramble on about the scientifics about it and lame jokes about what NOT to do... TY :D

Hey Inteleron, how you like that vid. card? Because that's what I'm looking in to, and it's hard to decide. Tell me all. What did you have before that, and how big is the difference??
Thanks.
What games are you plaing on it, and what resolution??

thanks violater :D
oh and hey scoot... heres the lowdown.
the system i did have it in was worthy of playing games this one is not :) ....so i'll base my experience off of that system..
1.4 Tibird 266mhz bus
EPoX 8KHA (KT266)
256mb Value Kingston 2100 DDR
40gig IBM 60GXP
Asus 52x
Aopen 12x w/ Just Link
Sound Blaster Live Value
Net Gear FA311 10/100 Card
-------------------------------------
Quake III - at 1024x768 /32bit /high details and so on...
i was getting between 40 - 50fps steadily
Quality was great, definitly playable ..never any problems (was fun to play 2 :D)
Castle Wolfenstein - right when i bought the game i came home installed it, rebooted and it wouldnt load single player... (i tried multiple times and uninstalled and reinstalled quite a few times aswell) multiplayer had no problems the 1st install, but then one of my other many installs multiplayer did not function either... i would get a shader or similar graphics related error (during single player it would just lock up and i would have to reboot) i was running the retail box CD drivers and direct x 8.0a and win2k..
i then bought a Visiontek Geforce3 ti500 and plug it right in and reinstalled the game and it worked no problems at all (single or multiplayer) ...i'm sure the new drivers most likely would fix this problem and direct x 8.1 wouldnt hurt either ;)
Overclocking - i Have the Radeon Tweaker (highly recommended if you decide to get a radeon) and with no ramsinks and just a passive heatsink on the gpu it overclocks like a monster...
i'm not really sure what settings i used or how much i overclocked it but let me tell you i was definitly suprised and excited when i did it on how high that sucker was going with out any artifacts..
after along while of testing i did get some artifacts so i knew the program was working (becuz at 1st i thought it wasnt of how high i was overclocking it) with a nice video card cooling system u could see some outrageous speeds! (my old hercules Geforce2 MX definitly couldnt hit these speeds noooowaaay)
Overall - Optical Quality 8/10 - Overclocking 9/10 - Games 7/10 (expecting you know its a VE and not a geforce3)
For 45.00 definitly recommended... but i think i saw a radeon 7000 or 7200 for around 50 or so ...that would be a better choice definitly if the prices are right... good luck with your decision :D
