Biostar 4-pin video power?

Okay i have the biostar tpower i45. it has molex connector on the mobo to provide power to the video card. i have a x1600pro. i plan i moving to something bigger and badder in the future but whatever it is im sure its going to have a pcie power connector on it. my question is do i need to put power to that connector? i am right now but not sure if it is necessary. the only reason i ask is that its placement does not make wire management easy and would like to avoid hooking it up if it is possible. thanks in advance.

Quick and dirty: do you need to hook up the 4pin molex video card power on the mobo with a x1600pro?

The 4-pin molex connector only needs to be powered if running crossfire.
