4870 flashed bios and now card is dead..

i walked my buddy through how to edit his bios to increase the fanspeed...we did not o/c it or any of that, just edited the fanspeed, and now the card has no video, will not post or anything.

we used RBE 1.3 to edit the bios, gpu-Z to get the original bios, and AtiWinflash version 2012...did we do something wrong? i thought those were the proggys to flash the bios with?

thanks, i'll give this to my buddy and hopefully it works...he said screw it and i think he maybe goin with a 4870x2...dunnoo...i 'll let ya know

what program versions of atiwinflash, rbe, gpu-z work with flashing the 4870s? i figured all the new versions would've worked?
