Drivers from new board give blue screen error

I just finished building my new PC and on the mobo cd, i can't seem to get one of the drivers to work. The last of the options on the CD is to install the "ASUS EPU Driver + Al Gear 3 Utility". Well i install it but i get the blue screen of death now so i had to boot into safe mode and uninstall and i got the PC to work normal again without erroring. Does anybody know why this is occurring?

You don't need them for your system to work properly. Though if you want install them try to get latest versions from asus website.
