I want to move to the Tualatin League....(celeron).
So i have to choose my m\b.
My options :

1)Asus TUSL2
2)Abit ST6R
3)Gigabyte 60XET-C
4)Iwill BD133u

and.....the newcomer
5)Iwill VX133u (just got here)

So...my exclusions:
1) Asus, NO...for the known reasons
2) Abit, YES...but they stopped importing abit boards in Greece
3) Gigabyte...hhmm....i am really confused about it and dont really
have a clear opinion. ( Some help here )
4) Iwill BD..NO..it has problems working with tualatin celerons

So i am left with the new Iwill VX133u ( Via chip ) and the XET-C ?

I Need Help

Thanks for the reply

I already know about these adaptors...but i decited to change my mobo, plus that the fcpga==>fcpga2 is not out yet....nomore tested and so not guarantied to work fine with the tualatins...and even more with the future ones.

Thanks anyway

Personally I would take the Abit ST6 as you know it has a good reputation for maximum CPU potential as well overclocking very well.

The Gigabyte I heard 50/50 with it, I heard bad feedback and good feedback so as well as I'm confused.

You might also take a look at the Soyo TISU board.

Both that and the Giga-byte XET-C seem to have no
problems getting to 148fsb at default voltage with my
P3-s chip.

Only issue I have with the Soyo board, is that both the
bios and hardware monitors temp readings are all way
to high, but I think this is a bug in the board. Seems to
display temps 10-15c higher that it should.

Both are a bit shaky at fsb's over 150, but I am working on it.
148 is still plenty fast......

Some people have been having reset and other problems with the
XET-C, but I havent with this chip.

Got a 1.1A celly-T on the way. Will find out how it likes the Soyo
board....

As i wrote in my 1st thread i would also prefer the Abit ST6R but unfortunetly they stopped importing all Abit boards in Greece.

As for the Gigabyte...still confused...still reading all possible threads and reviews.

P.S.
Please notify me if there is a review on the Iwill VX133u (694T)

Thank you all.

i'd go ABIT
they make the best P2-P3 boards
as for Gigabyte, i think the boards they make are crap.
thats just my $0.02

Tualatin MB option

I do not know if Soltek motherboards are available in Greece.
I have had good sucess so far with my SL-65KV2-T (Via694T).
1.2ghz. Celeron-T @1.6ghz. 1.7 Vcore. 37c idle never higher
than 40c. Has 1/4 pci divider up to 162mhz. then 1/5 above that.:burn:

OK....since i cant get my hands on this one (Abit ST6E Casper) lol
I 'll go for the Iwill VX133u
