So far I have been looking for instructions or enough information to make the pencil mod to my mobo.

I do have some vdroop from 1.256v idle to 1.168v under prime load. So far I have managed to get only to 3.0G with a Q6600 and still unstable.

My board is Asus P5KPL-E. Yes it is a little wierd so there is no way I can find a picture that matches its layout. I can not afford trial an error either :(

I got the datasheet for the ADP3198, but unlike other regulators used like ISL6213 or the L6713, I can not understand clearly the information for vdroop.

Can any one point me witch resistor (or cap) should I shunt with the pencil modification.

I would rather do this before going further with pots and wires.

Here I put a copy of the typical diagram for this device.

I hope with your help to be able to identify on the layout witch component choose.

Maybe some others like me have wierd boards can be helped.

Thanks in advance!

Sorry... later I found the explanation here
