Since the bad comments on apevia psu I have on the floor and was planning to use I would like to look for something else.

Might use a max of 250watts but low watt AMD processor, mobo, optical and one hd.

I like the last FSP I bought but I'm in the $20-30 range shipped which makes this a bit harder.

There is an Antec Basiq 350W (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371013). However I have no idea on how well it will perform.

I think you'll be hard pressed to find one that cheap and perform well.

I'm a big fan of FSP/Sparkle PSUs, made by the same company..dirt cheap, and don't die unexpectedly.

From what I hear the Rosewill units aren't bad either.

I like the Antec EA380 personally.

This is one of the best budget PSUs, as it regularly goes on sale for $15 shipped after rebate. It's also a seasonic OEM, and has had great reviews from jonnyguru.

I jumped on the previously post FSP. Will look into the antec, have to do some rebuilding latter this semester.

Aside from my own builds, I just think of the crazy stress testing that was done on it, I think by mcoleg with an 8800gtx and whatnot... absolutely awesome.

not a fan of Antec due to bad experiences with their older models.

Corsair has great PSU's and cheap from Buy.com

I only buy Corsairs anymore. I still have an Emacs PSU in my smoothwall, a PC&C in my file server and a Zippy in a rig that I havent finished building.

OCZ has the 500w stealthxstream psu on rebate this month, at microcenter it's 49.99-20 rebate = 29.99

Sales guy told me these are real quiet psu's, seems like he knows a little about psu's as he had been thru a few. Newegg has it on sale as well, for a little bit more. Beware though, it's only till the end of this month and the rebate is 12 days from date of purchase. So you have to test ur psu out right away and then send in that rebate. I'm about to test one out later today, let you know how it goes.

The Antec Basiq is an FSP unit too.
