The Wii has a IBM-designed PowerPC processor similar to the Gamecube's, customized for Nintendo, called the Broadway (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Broadway_(microprocessor)). The closest PC processor to it would probably be the PowerPC G3, as I don't believe the Broadway uses any kind of Altivec instructions.
The Xbox 360 uses a custom dual-threaded triple-core IBM-designed PowerPC processor, closest in similarity to the PowerPC G5, called Xenon (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xenon_(processor)). It is confirmed to use Altivec instructions, thus it would be much better for folding@home, not to mention the clock speed differences compared to the Wii (3.2 GHz versus 729 MHz) and multi-core versus single-core status.

ive actually looked this up and acording to some sources a F@H360 client is in the works. a wii client would be a fun tinker'er and think of it this way, if programmed right they might be able to get decent ppwu at a low powerdraw. the 360 would be a more power hungry beast for sure. youd also need to worry about it overheating, they arent meant to run 24/7.

Think they'd let a banned 360 run F@H if they released a client?
