Finally got both CPU sockets filled in my BP-6, so I'm wondering what games are multi-threaded? They don't exactly say on the box, and that has become a pretty important prerequisite now before I buy a game.
I know Quake III is, and that is working well. And I have a magazine article right hear that says the Unreal Tournament engine supports SMP... how do I enable it? Thanks for your help, guys.

The only popular title I've read about that is SMP capable is Quake 3. Although, in most benchmarks, dualies show lower marks.

You dont enable it. It just happens. At worst you may have to reinstall the game so it loads the multi-cpu threading for the game. Other than doing before and after benches of the game you really cant tell.

Now, another thing...actually a couple of things.

1. Are you using XP, 2000, or NT or Linux? Any 9x kernel wont support SMP.

2. You said your sockets are "finally full" leading me to believe that you were running with only one CPU prior to this...If you are in fact running an NT kernel, have you loaded the SMP kernel for that operating system. If you havent there is an easy way of doing so.

I am using Win2K, and I did a clean reinstall after I popped in the second CPU. Anyways, I am just looking for the names of some game titles that are multi-threaded. Thanks for the tips though
