good day.
i'm in the market for an overall excellent value mobo.
the specs on my rig are that way since it was a gradual, step by step upgrade.
can anyone suggest a mobo that has a decent budget w/ these specs. pls?
cheapest that has these specs. thanks.

some specs. that i'd like on it are;

raid 0.
cpu fsb 1600 is good, 1333 at least.
mem fsb 1200 is good, 1066 at least.
crossfire = (optional)

current sys:
E7200 = watercooled but not oc'd (loser mobo)
kingston 1066mhz hyperx 1gb x 2
gecube 3870 oc ed (gpu=800, mem=2x1200)
asrock 4coredual
2 x 74gb raptor
dvdrw
lian-li pc-70
2 x 350w enermax (w/ diy pcie for hd3870)
22" lcd

the asus P5Q looks good to me so far.
crossfire = not really needed (depends on price really)
any other suggestions anyone?

I like my BIOSTAR Tpower I45 which is going for around $150. My experience has been limited to E8400 and E8600. There is another BIOSTAR board available with a thread here called the TP45 HP which goes for around $130. You may want to check it out.

as much as i like the looks of that board plus what its doing ocing wise. i cant see for the price suggesting it. esp since you can get the P5Q-pro for the same price and have 8phase pwm's over the biostar's 4phase. if you were mearly going to stick with a dual core then have at it with the biostar. :)

what about the MSI P45 Neo2 / P45 Platinum
features look good too...
any input on it guys?
lemme see what biostar has :)

the only thing going for the MSI, that i see is the heatpipe cooler. the board packs a 5phase pwm, still wouldnt use it while ocing a quad. 4phase is min with quad core ocing but i wouldnt push the clocks a whole lot. maybe take a Q6600 to 3.2ghz and leave it on a 4 phase board. 8phase is another matter, push the quad till the cpu cries!

looks like my best choice is the asus p5q.
not sure if i'm going to xfire yet though so i might get this first,
then upgrade to p5q-e in the future.
thanks guys for the input.
if there are any other opinions like for
abit or gigabyte, pls feel free to lemme know, thanks.
