Anyone know how to format a drive in Vista? Says it's write protected

Every time i try to format a partition i get a message saying that i can't because it's write protected. How do i get around this. OS = VIsta 64 ultimate

I believe that in BIOS theres an option within your SATA Setup section that will allow to to enable/ disable write protect. Mine does. Then hop into windows Disk Management and format it.
