I just got a Fuzion V2 and am wondering if anyone else using this water block and an E8400 or any intel dual core has any input on if i should lap the thing first or see how it goes stock. I read a review that indicated this block is convex to fit a slightly concave quad cpu top. Is this true? I read it once and have not seen any info to back this up. Are quads slightly concave?
Also, I am running this block on a 3/8 loop, anyone else out there using it wiht 3/8th fittings? I am using DD fatboy barbs.
41-43c idle and 51c max at 4.2GHZ 1.29 vcore 467fsb ram 1:1 using a thermaltake W1. I hope to see 4.3 under 1.3v with this new block and maybe get to 5ghz with fairly low volts.
This chip will boot windows 4.2ghz @ 1.26vcore, but no prime or 3dmark and it has fatal d3d errors often. Some stability at 1.275v and 4.2ghz@1.28v maybe in the cards with the right settings. Thats using the old W1 block, I have been waiting for this new block to go over 1.3v 24/7. Hope it works out.
btw anyone know what the inside of this old thermaltake W1 block looks like? its brazzed and there is no telling without ruining the thing

I don't know but one thing for sure is that those are high temperatures. You should expect mid 40 C.
Also, 4.2ghz @ 1.3v is kinda hard to achieve. You should expect like 1.38V.

I dunno man, from what I read online I think my mobo and CPU are maybe lying to me. CPU-Z validation doesn't show the vcore could that mean I am getting false readings? Also the Vcore swings up and down in cpuz but mostly down to 1.28v and in HWmonitor it swings down to 1.28v which was my setting at 4.15ghz.
Is my sensor broke? wtheck?

here is the cpuz validation, with no CPUv value is that normal?

Maybe i got lucky? Maybe my voltage sensor is fried? I am confused...
P.S. am i supposed to be able to browse and play itunes and all that while prime95 is running? Is it cheating or normal to let prime be the sole application running? Or does it even make a difference?

I posted in your other post also but as I read further on a jan. 08 post about E8400 I've also learned people contacted Intel and Intel says ignore the core readings go by cpu cpu temp.

What do you mean by cpu cpu temp?
oh and I lapped the block and im at 48-49c full load of prime 95 and itunes on the side, happier but I didnt do as good a job as I would have liked its not quite flat. thanks for the link.

In hw monitor 36 is idle 44 is your load, program real temp is acurate from all I've read tonight to help you out Temp actually look good.from what I've read core temps are messed up any ways with people saying they've seen them in 30's 40's and 50's and some some have seen them on each core different so your in good shape.your realtemp also shows even at 55 you have some headroom my prediction is if you get to 4.5 max temp for realtemp is high 60's leaving 30 degrees till shutdown

cool, speaking of... I just found an old air conditioner from a few summers ago in storage! I have it pumping coolness into my box as we speak and temps are 32c and falling! gonna do some prime and see load temp then push!
i just found this thing like an hour ago and franticly made a rigged up piping system for the cold air as it wont fit right next to my comp... gonna prob start a thread on this find after reading up on how to mount the rad to it best. I cant believe I didn't remember I had this last summer it was hot as hell :P

I think I made a small mistake did you run hw monitor after prime that will make all values the same if the cores are maxed out and would be tempin0 cpu temp I know with my phenom in hw monitor at this time in the morning I'm 23 degrees for cpu temp tempin0, I'm just not sure that tempin2 is your case temp tempin0 being cpu temp my readouts show different in hw monitor but your temps are still good.
