Hey guys found a deal where I can get the above PSU for $44 and am wondering if it would be fine for my system. SPecs below.

OR

CORSAIR CMPSU-450VX 450W for $70.00 but $50.00 after MIR

Which would you do?????

Patriot,

Both are Seasonic OEM builds. However the Antec is a low end Seasonic and the Corsair is the top end Seasonic OEM. Personally, I would get the Corsair, it's a better quality unit.

right now the 450vx is cheaper plus then there is the MIR. the promo code for the EA's dont seem to be working right now for some reason. both units have the same current on the 12v rail, one is just split.

Actually i would go with neither of the 2 as you have a 450 unit now. you would be imo better off buying a 550 or 650 corsair unit. why buy a psu your just going to have to replace not that much farther down the road? if you buy the right psu you now you can have it last longer then any other part in your rig, counting upgrades. i still have the same 520power stream psu for almost 4years now. cause what your going to do is going to cost you more money in the long run.

Both are the same Seasonic unit inside. Literally.
The only difference is that Corsair has a 120mm fan and better capacitors.

Wish all hardware companies would stop using those cheap tawainese caps, things would be much better.....

what i recall was a QC issue with china made caps...Japan and Taiwan made caps over china ones anyday...

I have a EA 500 and the 12 volt rails read 11.30. I get a video card pop up every now and then, saying my PSU is not supplying ample power ot my VGA card

not gonna work, you can get a cheap DMM from ratshack...
