Xfire 4850 with 4870, possible?

wondering if the 4850 and 4870 could be crossfired like how the 4870X2 and 4870 can.

any ideas anyone?

yes, it works.

it works but will drop the higher cards speed to match the lower cards speed

It will be screwy might see wierd things happen due to the 4870 having GDDR5. But the 4870 will drop down to the speeds of 4850 if it works properly.
