View Full Version : 963 what the?
hey
Ive overclocked my duron to a 963mhz (core voltage 1.65)
(I/O voltage 3.50) but when i want to go to 972mhz or any higher the images in games sometime become blurry..
How can i overclock higher without this happening?
It is a duron 900@963 i am overclocking via fsb.

Well... to begin with you might want to try posting this in the AMD CPU or Motherboard section... I'm not familiar with your board... Does it have dividers that you can change for the pci and agp? What does the rest of your system consist of? What do you have for cooling and can you improve it? Is 3.5 the default I/O voltage? Might want to stick with default on that. What are your memory timings...HA... I've got more questions than you :D :p
ok well sorry for posting on wrong one but since its started might as well continue =p
My computer is a duron 900, 392 mb ram, abit kt7e mobo, 64mb geforce2 mx 400 palit daytona.

I think u might want to look at the game setting.
if you play Counter-strike or Tribe2 any of those similar game.
check to make sure you have video setting to OpenGL not software.
also Get the latest driver for your video card.
I have a plit Gforce2 also.
one thing if you are using win2k go to palit site and get freeze fix for w2k + get freeze AGP fix from microsoft website for win2000.
Good Luck

When you start to experience dropped pixels, artifacts, or tearing, that's a sign you need to bump the voltage a bit. Bump it up in small increments until those things go away..... but watch your CPU temps.
