Hi,

One of my GSkill HZ sticks that I paid a lot for when Conroe first launched is dead. Machine was having intermittent post issues with it and now it won't post at all unless I remove that particular stick.

I'm going to RMA it, but my question is should I RMA both sticks to so I get a set back or just the bad one? I'm also not sure what I'll get as a replacment since I purchased these 2 years ago which is an eternity for technology.

Aside from the question of returning 1 or 2 sticks do you think I'll get high quality D9 micron in return?

P.S. This memory was never run out of spec.

Thanks

If the memory was purchased as a kit, send it back as a kit. I bet they still have HZ available, heck newegg was selling it 6 months ago.

Just send g.skill an email then and ask if you should send them both. I know I had to send both when 1 of my ballistix died..

You should beable to tell with the serial # on the sticks if it was a kit or not.

I just pulled my HZ out that I have sitting here, they were bought as a kit, and the last 4 numbers are xxx6 on 1 and xxx5 on the other. If yours are a kit, they should be 1 number different on the end.

It's better to send both. They will send you a whole new kit. I had the same issue with my HZ's about 2 months ago.

Mine have the +1 serial numbers so they are a kit too. Thanks guys.

GSkill recommended this too. I sent off both sticks. Just sux having my computer out of commission. I guess I could pick up a cheap stick in the meantime. How long did it take them to turn around your RMA?
