"Blue Light Special" My case Mod in progress...

I finally got my crappy camera workin' again and figured I'd snap a few pics of the work so far.

Here is the case from about 2 months ago (before the mods started...)

Here is a few shots of the front (which is all I have finished with so far...) the sides and top are still on the workbench, waiting for some supplies to come in before I can finish them. I'll also be modding the DigiDoc 5 ya see there with an EL blue backlight,but that can wait until after the whole case is done.

I just wanted to get some thoughts on what everyone thinks, i'll post pics of the sides and top when they are done, and also the inside...:cool:

Sorry about the size of the pics, the camera I have really SUX...

I'm definetly doing a window mod to this case, it wouldn't be complete without it! :D

I finally received a few of the materials I was waiting for, workin on the top and side lighting now, still waiting on the some of the electrical stuff (some fans, the ones I have don't have enough airflow for me...temp probes...a few of the ones that came with the digidoc 5 went bad...and the moulding for the window i'm putting in) hopefully soon it will be done.

Where does the blue light come from?

its Called EL cable or Electro Luminecent (spelling?) cable...you can get it online or in some stores...it comes in lots of colors..

Due to a recent move I had to make, I had to put the mods on hold, but now that I'm settled, I can get back into it...( well at least I can after my surgery)..

I've gotten a few new ideas since and now have a new plan of action...

looks great. i am thinking about lining my chemning with some el too. i think it will look sweet coming from behind the door.
