Intel G35 based mainboard owners; the onboard DX10 video is impacted by RAM timings more than ever! You cannot overclock much without disabling the onboard graphics (since it uses shared system RAM) but many use these G35 boards for HTPC-setup-and-forget systems.

I've been fooling around with both the Intel DG35EC board in my fileserver/folding rig, and a Asus P5E-VM HDMI in my dad's rig.

Both running Vista64. Posted results are at STOCK settings using an E8400 (C2D 3Ghz 6MB 1333FSB) and a Corsair XMS2 2GB dual-channel kit.

RAM@ 667 (1:1) 4-4-4-12 VistaGamingGraphicsIndex: 3.7
RAM@ 800 5-5-5-18 VistaGamingGraphicsIndex: 3.8
RAM@ 800 4-4-4-12 VistaGamingGraphicsIndex: 4.0

So choosing/setting the rightly timed RAM will surely have an impact on decoding HD content. Just for your information...
