So...I want to watercool my 9800GX2's in Quad-SLi, but I am wondering what size radiator I should select.

I have a TJ07, and the lower half of the case has plenty of room to work with:

I am wondering a couple of things. What size radiator should I go with? I can definitely fit as large as a 120.4, but I don't know if a loop with only (2) 9800GX2's requires a radiator that large. I was considering going with a 120.3, or even as small as a 120.2.

Now, if I were to go with a 120.4, I could do something similar to this:
http://tfrascone.net/myphotos/g2data/albums/tech/pc_tj07_v2/2008-09-04/finaleqm8083qq3.jpg

So my loop would look something like this:

Or, the pump could be mounted in the top half, which would leave more room for adding a second loop in the future:

At this point in time, I am NOT going to watercool the CPU. I have found that the Zalman heatsink I have works wonderful at keeping the CPU temps down, even overclocked from 3.0GHz to 4.0GHz. However, in the future, I may decide to watercool the CPU, and if so would use a second, separate loop. I have seen another forum member do this, so I know it is possible and there is enough space to fit two separate loops.

Anyway, what size radiator do you guys think I should use for cooling just the (2) 9800GX2 cards? 120.4, 120.3, or 120.2?

120.3 should be more than adequate, even with low/medium speed fans.

Second loop would be easy if you put another external rad or mounted another rad in the top of the case (would have to cut the case though), or if you went with a 120.4 you could just add in a CPU block to current loop.

What blocks and pump were you considering?

oh i forgot to mention, i HATE external rads - so, not going that route. i know it is possible to fit both a 120.4, 120.2, and the PSU all in the bottom of the case, so if i went with a second loop i would most likely use a 120.2 for the CPU.

i was considering using DangerDen's 9800GX2 blocks.

My rad is external  :p

I dont know much about full cover blocks as I prefer GPU-only, but those DangerDens look nice, but you do realise you're about to spend $400 on GPU waterblocks? I hope you dont have a significant other to explain that to :p

I assume from your pics you'll be using a D5/MCP655? Good choice.

ha, no wife...just a girlfriend, so she has no say in my spending... :bday:

yeah, i think i prefer full cover blocks - had some on my last w/c'ed SLi setup and really liked them.

yea full cover ftw and as for the rad i dont know about you but i rather buy more and have some left over than buy less and have to spend double in the future....in other words

go for the 120.4 there is nothing wrong in having more cooling power! you never know maybe in the future you will upgrade to some 280's or have a change of heart and get some 4870's or maybe a x2? and those cards can really dump some heat so you really cant go wrong with a 120.4 especially since it all fits in your case!!! i have seen several rigs with your case that fit 2 120.4's or 2 120.3's in xtremesystems

but if your trying to save some cash then just get the 120.3

btw i love your case bro when ever your done with it pm me!!
