How much effect do RAMsinks have on OCing? I just got a GeForce2TI 64MB DDR card and thought I would see what it would do with stock cooling fan (has no RAMsinks originally). I didn't push the GPU too far with the stock fan, but got to 275 so far without probs. Thing is, I can only get the memory up to about 435mhz before getting artifacts and I see that many get close to, if not over 500mhz one the mem. (stock settings 250/400)
If you cant get the memory above that i would try ramsinks also check to see what the memory is rated at.
nice overclock on the celeron. what do you use to keep the temps down?

Lapped Gorb and ASII, 2 add'l case fans and slightly modded case....
I plan on putting RAMsinks on it....as far as what the memory is rated at, I'll try to figure it out when i pull the card to put the sinks on. Would it be marked similarly to SDRAM as far as the speed? (I'll write down the chip numbers before I glue the sinks on) If I remember right it's Samsung memory
Thanks for the reply dlind

I have a Leadtek Gfs2 Ti and i put a crystal orb on it and some aluminum ram sinks and i got it up to 311/511mhz.
the stock was 250/400
tried to push the ram and GPU higher but i get artifacts and boxes during 3dmark2001.
hope that helps some :)

That's exactly what I plan to do to the card. Did you try to OC it before you upgraded cooling?

Hey Nice Halibut Avatar.
Since your an Overclocker and fisherman you ok in my book so heres a link to get 8 copper ramsinks for $21
http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/tweakram8pac.html
Or for $12.72 you can get 8 ramsinks at Radio shack:

Another GF2 Ti here: using blorb, 4 radioshack sinks and ASII 255/524. Can sometimes get the GPU higher, but not much. Will be lapping and possibly modifying the blorb with a silver base soon.

Inteleron I'm using an Abit Slotket with the voltage jumper set to 1.85. Vcore is set at 1.95 in BIOS. All other jumpers on the converter are auto (except the one for coppermine). Updated BIOS only once, the one dated 8/28/2000 (TG?). Was stable only to 945mhz until I lapped the Gorb and seated it with Arctic Silver.
Thanks all for the suggestions I will get some ramsinks and a crystal orb and see what happens then.

I tried but could not get ram above 450mhz and core wouldn't go to high either.
But now it runs fine
3DMark2k1 restarts my computer when i clock it above 315/515, but at 315/515 it runs 3dmark2k1 but i get some artifacts.
I want to get better ramsinks or maybe just thermal epoxy these one's on, maybe that will help the ram go higher.
