Ok Team,
This is where you have too post your scores for Winter Warz 2008!
First round of stock scores to be posted will be from the 5th thru 19th of Sept 11:59 CST US & Mexico (2 weeks)
Then all forums will assemble their rosters and individual team names from 20th thru Sept 26th (1 week)
Sept 27th thru Oct 18th (3 weeks) We go to WAR!!!

SPI and AM3 will need date stamps on the screenshots.
And yes, the score in GB jumps around a bit, it pays to run it a number of times.

To hard to say how we have done, we (the judges) have some work to do.
A number of scores that have been uploaded to the database (via cops on their own forums) are wrong.
Things like SPI 1.4 used, no CPUZ, no links or screenshots etc etc
I've even found scores posted to hwbot and then to the database after cut off :mad:
The Judges now have to go back over every score :bang head
There will be no updating of the score thread over at TRP till we have gone over everything.
Little things like the odd time stamp not being there is fine, if all other scores are right we will let that pass.
But things like SPI 1.4 we will not.
@ Ross, your score has already come up.
I've already out lined whats up, posted your screenshot and the pictures of your setup. So all the Judges can see there is no cheating going on (not that anyone has said anything like that, just making sure they don't)
Thanks Dean and I'm not surprised ;) If there's any problem, I'll be more than happy to run 10Ks on Vista to back it up. Heck, I'll videotape the benches and setup if it needs to be done. I dunno if I can bug that high again, but I can do 5-digit scores all day long on Vista, SP3 and apparently even SP2 occasionally.
@Albyno: no, because my Geekbench is an insane 12K points :)

Believe me, had I found any trick/tweak, I would've posted up to make sure it was legal and so that everyone on our forum could've pulled 5-digit scores. I posted up everything I could think of for others to try. Originally, it just did it on a stripped XP SP3 install. It would do big scores (~10100-10200) and occasionally have higher runs (11-12K). After I installed Vista (regular retail install with just stopped services) it would do the same ~10K scores @ ~5GHz, but didn't have the higher runs.
Sometime way after that (like 2 days ago), I had a 10K run on SP2 too also, which it never did before. Unless it has something to do with the bootstrap, boot manager or MBR (can't see how any of that would effect it). The SP2 that did high scores on was on the same HDD that I installed Vista on. SP2 was on partition 0 and Vista on partition 1.
I am at a total loss on why it does this and why no one else can duplicate it :shrug:

The Judges have seen all the info I have posted, and no one has an issue with it so far.
We all know it's "the golden touch bug" that you seem to get :beer:
But you can pull 10K+ scores all day, sure it's a bug.
But as it's not a one off, there is no cheating going on and FW's has a set time so we don't have weeks to work out why.
The score will stand, even though we know it's some kind of bug. But it is the score your setup pulls, we just don't understand why.
OK that's cool Dean, thanks for letting me know. It's not the proc either BTW...tried the other 8600 with the same results :shrug:
At least maybe those extra points can help make up for some that didn't get a chance to finish :thup:

Yea no kidding, this has to be a MONUMENTAL amount of work to organize and administrate Forum Wars.
