What do I need???

I have a 21" computer monitor and I am thinking about selling my Sony TV and buying a capture card for my PC only problem is I have no idea what I should be buying.
My DVD has s-video & component outputs I would like to use the DVD to play movies on the computer.
Also when I have a few spare thousand I would like to replace the TV with one with component inputs, so it would be nice if the PC card had component output.
As I have never purchased a capture card or TV tuner card before I would appriciate any advise or suggestions you may have i.e. brands etc.

well i do believe what your looking for is what is called vivo, or video in and video out. Some vid cards have this option, but are usually more expensive, such as radeon 8500. Otherwise, you can just use a tv-card along with your regular ol video card. :D

ATI cards are the way to go in this departement.
