I play games like WoW and emulation. The only new game I am going to run is Wrath of the Lich King expansion for WoW.

Overclocking is NOT a #1 priority...... I prefer silent and cool over faster and deaf. Alas I degress.... back to my system.
I have 2 IDE burners that I will not part with since both are Plextors. So IDE is a MUST.
I have 3 IDE hard drives that are loaded so I was going to get 3 of these

Along with a 750gb SATA 3GB hard drive as my main drive.

I prefer a STABLE motherboard. Let's put it this way my last two builds used an Intel 845PERL and an ASUS P4P800Deluxe.

Need gigabit networking and at least 4 USB.
Onboard sound is ok for me since I am not a purist. If it makes noise.... cool.

As far as a CPU I was going with http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0288157

Memory I was going to go with http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0288096

Only reason I went with Microcenter for the above parts was it is close to my house and if there is a problem I can throw it back on their desk.

Lastly, will an Antec TP550 power supply be good enough or do I need a new one?

Sorry for the long post. Thank you all ;)

new mobos dont come with many PATA connectors. your going to have to use a add in card since your 2 plextor burners will need to be master on both channels. for under $150 there is a ton to look at. for instance the Asus P5Q SE, Gigbyte EP43-DS3L/EP45-DS3L,Biostar TP45HP. i know i have prolly left a few off like a Biostar P43 i just got but not many running the board so i want some personal time first before if i suggest it or not.

For WOW you dont need SLI or CF for you could really got with any board under $100 that is P43 based. that is if you dont plan on ocing at all and just stock speeds... E7200 is a good choice but better for those ocing. i would suggest you consider the E8400 over the E7200. that is if you might get into more gaming later then just WOW, other wise the E7200 at stock will be more then fine for WOW.
