View Full Version : Understanding the code on cpu
Just got my new 1800+ and need some info. First, I have had an Intel system the last two years, so bear with me. Here's the code on my cpu: AGKGA 0141UPTW
Y7055150135
I assume this is a "Y" stepping, 2001, week 41. Correct?
Pretty much the same as Intel it looks like.
Now, where can I read about the other info? Like the UPTW,etc?
Thanks, Kent :)
Oh, it looks like it's unlocked also. Going to have to get a magnifying glass to be sure. Are some coming from the factory unlocked?

That's a great stepping you've got there (although most of us would say the stepping is AGKGA-Y). Here's a little something to help you out with the rest of that esoteric stuff.

Here's where it came from. (http://www.ocinside.de/upl.shtml)

No, if you look at it closely, there are actually little pits between the L1's. This makes it a lot harder than just using a pencil to unlock it.
Thanks guys. It does look dark between the L1's, so maybe that the pits your talking about. :( This stepping looks like one of the best overclockers available. First thing I did was to check the database. Also checked http://www.athlonoc.com
Anyway, that helped. Thanks again, Kent :)

There have been some reports of some XP's coming out unlocked. I have seen a couple pics posted.

That is the temp that if you go hotter your chip is toast litterally. ex. I have a 1.4 thunderbird and it can go to 95 c. before it burns up. but that does not mean that it will run reliably at that temp.

I have an AGOGA-Y week 50 1900+.
I haven't found anything anywhere on the AGOGA-Y 1900's, anyone seen these in the wild yet? It's a copper colored core, not the new green.
I have no idea how this will OC, I sure hope it will be somewhere on the high side of 1800 and I'll be happier than a pig in $hi+ if I can get 9.5x200 out of it or even x190...
Yeah, it's locked....for now :)
