Thanks man i appreciate it i kinda got my hopes up a bit to me owning an alienware is kinda like a dream same with the Dell XPS 1750 and when they told me $209 a month for 30 months i told them they were insane, but again thank you

Just a quick note, Alienware systems are highly overpriced. You can often get the equivalent even in a more rugged enterprise-version system for generally 200-300$ less.

Hey I used to have the same aspiration..........before I realized how overrated they are ;) Don't get me wrong, outwardly, they are amazing looking computers, but on the inside, they aren't that impressive at all. Now, I know we are talkin about a laptop but the same still applies, you are paying more for the name than anything.
But hey, if that's what you want, I wish you the best of luck in getting on on the cheap ;)

17" screen for sure and something to dedicate to gaming and gaming only games like Bioshock, Assassins Creed, Hellgate London, and so forth, I cant afford at this exact moment but i am looking around and comparing trying to get the best bang for my buck, and buy hopefully in a few months

I'm always partial to business grade, that being what I sell primarily in larger orders :)
I'd take a look at lenovo's W series thinkpad which I'm most partial to. Others you might consider is dell's vostro and latitude line.
From what I understand Dell's studio line is also very good, maybe a little more hardy than the XPS but I don't have much data on them.

The best bang for the buck in a 17" laptop is the Gateway 7811 (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8892825&st=7811&lp=1&type=product&cp=1&id=1211587727985). The price drops down to 1249 every so often. It actually blows the Alienware out of the water for a lot less money.
