making the HDD LED wire about 4ft longer?

Hi,
I'm planning on putting my case in behind the door in my desk, however i would still like to see the hard drive activity LED. Would it be a problem just extending the lead wires about 4 feet so i can put the LED up on top my desk? Why I ask is because i dont know if the added resistance of the longer wire will cause any problems.

No, it shouldn't add enough to make it not work. I would however use a good solder on the joints in the wire...just incase. Over time a twisted wire joint will increase in resistance.

Yeah this wont be a problem Just that it wont be as brighter as it used to be
