So I have Gentoo installed and emerged FAH 5.0.2. This is what I am seeing in the log file though:

I think the current Linux client is 6.02 my guess 5.02 has expired which is why you can not get any work.

I'm not sure if 5.02 has expired or not, but you should unmerge fah. The one in portage is old, and I don't think they will update it to 6.02 until it's 100% out of beta.

The assignment server was not able to give you work. This is caused by:
1) The server has no work units that meet your needs,
2) The server has other, technical problems.
In your case, I believe it's #1 - but I can't tell for sure until I can get a look at your client.cfg file (in the same directory as the FAH client you are running).
Could you open it and copy / paste it here?
Emerge and unmerge??
You're talking that Linux-speak stuff, aren't you? Tut-tut! Another dirty, low-down, Linux know-it-all. :D :D :p :p
If you select WU without deadlines, you will be assigned to 0.0.0.0 because there are no WUs without deadlines. Default behavior of the Assignment Server is to send the client to 0.0.0.0 if there are no WU matching the client configuration parameters.

Thanks for the input guys. Based off the replies I made some changes to my configuration and it is now pulling in work. Back to folding for team32.
As soon as you're comfortable with that client, we really should get you into the more productive (but more complicated to set up), SMP client.
Let us know when you're ready to "move on up", ok?

Right now v5. whatever it is (lol), is running ok i think. It starts two clients, one for each core. Is this correct?

No...5.02 starts one client per program.
You have (1) the program and then you have (2) the core.
I believe this is what you are seeing...
