Sapphire HD4850 Dual slot

Hey, I've noticed that Sapphire have put out a new HD4850 using their own board design and I was wondering what you lot think: http://www.sapphiretech.com/us/products/products_overview.php?gpid=249

Currently it's one of the cheapest HD4850's in New Zealand, and I'm thinking of buying one late next week. Should I get this? I'll be putting my Zalman VF900cu onto it or getting a S1 Rev.2 for it.

That's not exactly a dual slot, as it still dumps the heat inside the case as opposed to dual-slot solutions that dump it outside of the case. As for the cooler on the sapphire, it really doesn't look all that impressive. I'd go with a reference design cooler over this, but that's just me.

In saying that I will be putting my Vf900cu on it, I just wanted to know if I should purchase it with the new board layout or stick to a ati referenced HD4850

If you're gonna slap an aftermarket cooler on it and it's the cheapest price on that card, go for it.

I got an email back from Sapphire saying the mounting holes are different on their dual slot HD4850 so it looks like I'll be getting a Palit or High Tech HD4850, which ever comes in stock first :D
