Does anyone here think that a 1TB 7200RPM 32mb Cache HDD would be slower than 2 320gb 7200RPM 16mb Cache drives of the exact model in RAID 0? If so.. how much slower?
Thanks

Generally speaking the RAID 0 drives will have a much higher throughput but possibly a higher seek time than the 1TB drives. Just depends on what you'll be doing with it mostly.

With larger files, RAID 0 is better than a higher density disk (the 1 tb) with smaller files (ala gaming and the likes) the terabite drive is better.

How exactly can seek times be increased in a RAID0 if it's all dependent on the slowest drive's speed?

How exactly can seek times be increased in a RAID0 if it's all dependent on the slowest drive's speed?RAID0 actually increases seek times. ;)
EDIT: Didn't answer how, let me try to find the thread.
