View Full Version : whats that heatercore?
About 4 years ago there was a heatercore out of a car (i forget which) that everyone went nuts over for diy. I had one myself that I used for a build but its now gone. Anyways it was about 12-15" long 5" wide, 1-1.5" thick and fit 2 120 or 80mm's well. It came with soldered tubes that had to be removed in order to install barbs and was extremely cheap at the parts store.
Does anyone know/remember what kind of car this heatercore is for? Thanks. I almost want to say its a Bonneville?
That would be it. Thanks, any major changes in the cooling within the last 2-3 years? I havent been into computers in years so just curious.

Don't know the price or cooling efficiency of the Bonneville core but you can pick up 240 and 360 rads from swiftech or HWL for pretty cheap these days and they are ready to go.

Thanks for the suggestion but its actually going to be used as a transmission fluid cooler, or im thinking about it anyways. I guess I should have mentioned that before.

i use one in my loop, it does alright with two 120mm fans, you could almost fit 2 140mm fans on it.
