Has anyone done an RMA to Teamgroup recently? I guess 5 or 6 months ago the California office stopped doing RMA's so now they have to go directly to Teamgroup in Taiwan.

Well the address they gave me is:

3F, NO.166 Jian Yi Rd.,Chung-Ho City, Taipei,235,Taiwan

Well, I tried getting a quote from USPS.com and unless I stick the RAM in an envelope (which I don't want to have to do), it will be like $23. Or I tried UPS and the online thing quoted like $75 or so. I tried calling my local UPS Store to get a quote and she asked for a country code. I had no idea what the country code would even be?? She was of no help and said I could call back if I figured out the country code.

So has anyone done this recently that can give me some guidance?
Thanks!

have you asked for a shipping label from teamgroup?

yeah, if they don't give you a shipping label I would just go with a US based company and get new ram. I highly doubt they'll give you a shipping label for it tho.

Country code is TW and expect to pay around $100 for UPS Store.

Have you talk to Ben, from tankguys? He might know of some other way for you to get an RMA besides shipping to TW.

That really sucks. Makes me glad I never bought any of their ram.

Guess I'll be shopping for a backup set. Too bad, it's nice stuff.

Yeah, it really is nice stuff. It ran at LEAST DDR2-1000 at 4-4-4-12 @2.15v I never really tested it to see how much more it would do but I'm sure there was a bit left in it.

All of the people we worked with at Team have now gone on to work at other companies. Unfortunately, there's nothing we can do to help with their warranty at this point :(

Well I finally sent it out today. I went to the Post office and found a 5-10 business days method that was only like $5. Priority was 6-10 days so I figured 5-10 business days should only be a few days more than that. And more than 1/4 the cost.

I just hope it doesn't get lost. Although I guess that if it does, it's really no big loss since I couldn't do anything with it anyway if I hadn't sent it to Taiwan.

EDIT: Oh and thanks TG Ben for the reply. :)

Ah, ok. I just had thought maybe you knew somewhere else to send it or anything since you have dealings with them. I'm glad though that I see you guys still stock teamgroup ram. While I currently have a pair of Crucial because I got them in the classifieds cheap, I will always pay the little extra to buy new teamgroup from you. It's really some of the best ram I've used.

I'm glad you were able to send it over there cheaply.
