Trying to do my first overclock here.
I have a E8500 and a P5Q-E board and i already ordered some corsair 2x2gb 1066 memory kit and im waiting for it to arrive, but it take like 10 days or even more i think, since i bought them from another country.
Until then im using a kingston 2x1gb pc5300 667mhz memories that i took from my previus computer and wanted to do some overclock with it.
So, the memory frequency will raise as i raise the cpu FSB ? As default it is 333mhz with 9.5 multiplier at full load.
What should i do ? Is there a way to lock the memory frequency at 667mhz (what happens if i ser DRAM Frequency to 667mhz and CPU FSB to 400mhz)?3.8ghz is my goal, so should just try to overclock the memories to 800mhz ?
Or am i completly lost in those things i said ? lol
