They've been around for some time. I haven't had any experience with their customer service, but their cards perform just as good as any.

Palit is leadtek rebranded apparantly, so they should be of fairly good quality.

Palit are great. They do some excellent non reference design which improve a lot on the standard cards. It's great for us that they're doing ATi cards as well now. Gainward and Galaxy are two of their daughter companies.

Palit cards should be one of the best if not the best... it is a huge manufacturer over in Hong Kong and China.. so are cheaper as well. Almost everything from China seems to be the best these days.

Palit is the former Daytona, previously sort of noname. Palit has acquired Gainward and if you compare some designs (such as GeForce series 7), they look identical (I don't know if the exact same parts such as memory chips are used in both Gainward and Palit, though). Its reputation has grown and at the moment I trust it more than many leading brands.

I have a Palit HD4850, not the one pictured in your link, but so far it has been performing rock solid and I'm very happy with it :)
Probably my only annoyance with it, is not the card or anything, just that the clever guys put the warranty sticker on a screw on the back of the gpu sink so you can't mount an aftermarket cooler on without them being able to know you've voided the warranty
