View Full Version : CD-RW Disk Question
Can you use a CD-RW anywhere so its not only
readable by a CD-RW drive? It must still retain its
CD-RW capabitlity.
So far I have had no luck on any drive disk proggie that
I've tried.

when writing data to a CDRW disk to make it usable elsewhere you must "close" the disk
there should be an option in your burning program to either set it as non multisession or let you close the session on the disc.
most cdroms will then be able to read it

Although some older CD-ROMS may not be able to.
Also - some newer hi-fi's do advertise that they can play CD-RW's - a real bonus.
Well I have noticed that if you burn audio at only 4X almost all old CD players can read them.

hehe :)
If I set it as a non-multisession, I will still be able to erase
the disk? Only I would not be able to add to the disk once
data has been added, to change I must nuke the whole disk
and reburn? Or is it different from what I said or...
