$20 AR for 2x1GB, tempted to pick up a kit for a new LGA775 rig I'm building. Are they pretty good for $20? I probably won't be running them much past 800MHz anyways.

It's a steal at that price :). Since it's DDR2-800 CAS 4 rated, it will almost certainly do DDR2-1000 at CAS 5.
all my OCZ ram is fine and a mate has those but the 1066 version and his are fine to. that being the case for 20 id say get em

I have the 1200 version (like Albyno, according to the sig :)) and it works fine, too. Was on sale for $35 here (2x1GB).
I think OCZ has recently changed their rebate postmark window to 14 days or something, though. Make sure you watch out for that.

I wouldn't count on getting the rebate. OCZ is notorious for denying almost everybody. Even if you filled it out correctly.
18 is # 1

The issue usually is with filling it out correctly...it's postmarking it on time. You may get 4 days after receiving it to test and return the MIR form. It's a very narrow window and weekends and holidays count against you.
mine is the Reaper DDR2 9600 so yes like my sig :)...and i love em they never run hot and are rated at upto 2.2v and ive run them at that and they still odnt get hot. also have a set of the platinum rev 2 DDR2 PC6400 (800mhz) which run nicly upto close to 900mhz.

No its not, read around the OCZ forum and just google in general. You will find hundreds of people that get denied for various reasons when in fact they all filled it out correctly and got it sent in time.

After hearing all the crap about OCZ rebates, I instead settled on these, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145177

Not bad. Tho OCZ has some really good ram and their RMA/CS is great, the rebate thing is a headache.

For what its worth...and it is too late for it to be of value for the OP, but for anyone else that might be interested, I've only filed one rebate claim with OCZ, but in my case I received the refund quickly and without any hickups of any kind.

I've sent in several OCZ rebates over the past couple of years. I always get a nice email telling me its being processed, and then get a check in the mail a short while later.
You do have to send in the rebate quickly, though. I always keep copies of everything in case there is an issue.
I've only had 1 rebate be denied, but it was for Crucial, not OCZ. It turned out they looked at the time stamp on my email instead of the time stamp of the sale, and it was the last few hours of the sale. A quick visit to their chat service, and it was resolved. Check came shortly after.
