They are actually top of the line.

Reason you don't see much on the internet about them is that they normally only make very expensive enterprise-level switches which most hardware sites wouldn't be able to get ahold of for review and such. I'm talking over $3500 for a 16-port switch.
They are most known for their NBASE gigabit switches, etc. so I would imagine a regular Mbps switch made by them would be a good buy.

cool, that's good news, cos i went ahead and bought it. it's a 10-port 10/100base-tx manageable switch, under the NBase brandname. i'm having a lan-party tomorrow, so i'll see how it does. only cost me ZAR400.00 as well, which is about US$30.00.

thanks for the info. :)

Dang, that was a good deal. Cheapest I can find any 6-port generic switch over here is about that much.

Hope it works out well for you...it most definately should.

when i worked at aol we used alllllllot of xypelx or itouch ( same company)

i found them to be a little on the pos side but we were useing them for something werid ( revers teminal network)

you might want to check out a company called foundry networks they make awsome switchs hubs and stuff
