I found a 2x2gb kit of Patriot Viper DDR3-1333 for 189 with a 10.00 MIR. It's great memory for Ocing, I reached 1600 with the stock 7-7-7-20 timings. In addition they have Copper\Aluminum heat spreaders... Check them out, they are 179.99 at the egg now.

memory at 1600mhz with cas of 9 will just barely beat out ddr2 1066 cas 4 so keep that in mind that u should be shootin for 1600mhz at a minimum

The modules above do 1600 7-7-7-20, that's about the max I got out of them with no vcore increase.

Nice to hear the DDR3 Vipers run well with the Gigabyte. I loved my DDR2 Vipers in 2x2GB, and I'd like to try some in my X48T. TBH, I don't think many sticks would beat these GSkills though.
These are the one's I have. Picked them up for $200.00 on Ebay.

I've had them up to 1700 at stock timings and no increase in volts that I remember. Not sure how far they'll go, but some guys over at XS have done some good things.

You could try. I run at a 400 FSB, so 1600/1600 works pretty well for me. Very stable and quick. I've had this stuff to 1700MHz at stock settings. Never memtested, but it was stable enough to game and crunch Rosetta for two days.
Anyhow. I think those gskills you posted should do the trick. Don't know if they'll clock though because I've never tried them.

The Vipers??????
Actually they were dead sexy on my last build. Almost as nice as the Dominators IMO. Then again, the black is always nicer than the silver. Looks aside, they stay cool and that's what counts.
The thing with Patriot is(at least with the DDR2) Nvidia chipsets and Intel P35 were fine, but it was hit or miss with others. Like I said b4 I loved the Patriot, and they clocked well, but I was on a 680i chipset.

hmm maybe its the pics that make them look like **** then haha well i have till monday to decide looks like ill get them 300mhz oc on stock volts is pretty ****ing impressive
plus 7-7-7-20 beats 8-8-8-21
I'm using 2 x 2GB Gskill HZ 7-7-7-18 @1.9V running at 1680 MHz.
No problems at all. My Kingston HyperX gave me fits trying to run anything above 1066.
