Radeon 8500 3Dmark score??

Hi all,

Just finished installing my Radeon 8500 retail card and ran one loop of 3DMark2001 at default settings. Note my PC is also at default XP1900 (1.6Ghz). My score was 8710 3DMARK points. Is this the norm????

yest that score is about average with your setup....try ocing th video card/cpu...you can probably hit 10K

I dont think youll quite hit 10k but the 9's are possible. My best is a 9070 and thats with everything overclocked as far as I can.

then do the voltmod on the radeon and oc it higher! ;)

If you attempt the 'pencil' trick be sure to check the voltages as many people have friend thier cards due to having to high a voltage after using the pensil trick.

Resisters are your safest option if your good at soldering.
