260GTX performed worse than a single 260

I just recently installed 2 260GTX's and while I was playing CS:S, I noticed that the performance on it was worse than a single 260GTX. I did a 3DMark06 test on both a single and SLI 260GTX. I get better benchmark with the SLI but in gameplay, it sucked. What could be the problem? Is it the driver or the settings?

Hmm Im not having any luck with mine either.I think we need to find the best drivers which i have yet to find for this setup.I do get better scores than you but i have a quad atm.But i am switching over to a dual core soon.Have you tried nHancer profile editor?

Which of those monitors do you game on?I was thinking about getting the Hannspree.How much do you love it?

I game on my Hanns G not Hannspree monitor. 28" 1980x1200. Will the nHancer help with the SLi setup?

How do you know the performance is worse? Are you keeping track of the FPS through fraps? Is it happening with all other games? Maybe that game is just not optimized for SLI setups. The performance even then should be not as expected but cannot be worse. (used to happen with crossfire only)

Are you sure the PSU is good enough for SLI GTX 260?

Your system is almost identical to mine. Try to overclock that CPU, I get 16.3K with a singel GTX 260 with the cpu in signature.

according to nvida only certain games are optimized for SLI but you can make an sli profile for any game

How are my benchmarks? I still think its kind of low. How come it doesnt show that my system is in SLI mode on the GPU section? I wonder how many more points will I get after my OC.

Id say about right for everything running default.If i had my new ram in id disable 2 cores and run the benchmark to give you an idea.But i only have 2x256mb in my system right now.Ive been waiting 8 days for newegg to get my 2x2gb kit here.I knew i should not of sold both sets of my Ballistix PC2 8500's.I dont have the E8600 yet either i should have that wednesday
