Hello,

I don't know is this topic is appropriate for this part of the forum... but i'll give it a try, and if it doesn't belong here it will be redirected :)

Anyways, i've never actually used torrents, simply because i didn't need to. A friend of mine has asked me to download some stuff for him, and since i don't have a clue how to do this, i was wondering if someone can point me in the right direction.

- What are the best programs for downloading?

- What are the best websites to get torrent file from?

- Do i need to change any settings on my computer to use these programs?

- And more importantly, since i am doing this as a favor i don't want some ISP sending me emails i have downloaded something copyrighted, so is there any programs able to make my downloading "anonymous"? (i'm not in US so i don't worry about it that much but still)

Also, i have heard of torrent files being "tracked"? i might have heard wrong, but as i said before i have no clue how this stuff works... the last file sharing application i used was DC++ & napster a long time ago :D

So if there's a topic on this somewhere else please redirect me to it, as i don't really wanna loose a lot of time on "learning" how to do this.

Oh well, thanx to anyone replying :)
