Alrighty I've been contemplating on upgrading my 20gig HDD to something larger with the November update coming to load games onto the HDD. Well with that said, if I go out and purchase say a 60Gig or 120Gig drive does it come with a transferring kit? Or is that a separate purchase? Im probably more likely to get a 120Gig HDD just because it will be bigger and can probably store nearly all the games I play on it.
Wondering if anyone else has had some experience doing such. Limited here at work on viability of sites so figured I'd ask.

I do believe the 120GB dosn't come with a transfer cable last time I checked when I had my 360 and was considering the upgrade I learnt from the official forums that you have to send off for the cable once the HDD is purchased.
I am not sure if they have changed that since Jan 08 I would also think it would be the same for the 60GB HDD as well for an upgrade go with 120GB because games can now be put onto the HDD's apparently in the next update to increase loading times (might have to confirm that).
Plus it's sort of a future proof thing with the amount of map packs, films, music videos and other content.

Well from what has been said seems the 60 and 120 gig has a transfer kit. Hmmm I'll have to see but your exactly right getting a larger HDD for more content is definatly neeeded. Expecially if I want to put games onto the HDD.

I may do the same but I'm waiting to see exactly how the HDD installs work. If it's cheaper I may just try to use one of the hack methods of putting a regular 2.5" notebook HDD in the 360, especially if I can go bigger than 120GB.

Done play on live if you do MS scans for it and they ban.
I had the 120gig kit and it comes with the transfer cable and what not. What you dod is put your 120gig hdd in, connect your old hdd to the transfer cable and plug it into one of the front usb ports then play the dvd that it came with. Its pretty slow dapending on how much data you need to xfer the 120gig drive also comes bloated with a bunch of useless crap on it.
Also the 120gig drive comes with the transfer cable and dvd.
