There is nine of them on newegg, it appears all the 4870X2's are 2GB.

as said it is only 1G really, it has 1G per card, and Xfire duplicates the memory to both so it only uses 1G in total

think of the memory as raid 1 = same data in both sets of ram.

it is basically Marketing at it's best, suck people in with false info.

exactly, it isnt useless... it is "needed" for the card to have 1G, if it only had 1G then the cards would only really have 512 of ram....
