Formatting Question

Hello everyone,
I just had a quick question regarding reformatting harddrives.

I have about 1.5 TB of space on my computer. Now, mind that I don't have that much used up, that's just what I have available. Anyway, I was planning on reformatting my computer; rearranging folders, moving "Media" content to another hdd, and my Engineering software to another. Anyway, If I move say my music to another internal hdd and I reformat the OS hard drive, will I be able to retrieve the music off of the other drive once I'm done reformatting?

Yes, if you reformat the OS drive after moving the music to a secondary drive, your music will still be there and you would still be able to get to it.

To be sure you don't even mess up like I did once, disconnect the drives you're not going to format, and connect them after.

just make sure you have a 2nd physical hdd and not a partition on the 1.5 tb drive....
