GPU clients can not seem to get new work...

anyone else seeing this issue?

Started yesterday on one or two of my machines and now they all are seeing this, GPU client is running fine and then finished WU and then can not get work, log says Attempt #xx to get work failed, and no other work to do. Waiting before retry.

Not sure if any of the clients have even been able to get a new unit with out me stop and restarting them and that does not even work everytime.

Any ideas?

I got 10 GPU clients running now as of last night and they are all doing this!!

Been getting this and other hangups the last 3-4 days. Simply restarting the client fixes it for a while, but it kinda sucks when you're away 23 hours a day.

I too am having it. I even checked the server stats when my main rig wasn't getting anything and the stats said it was fine...

I'm getting it too. Restarting helps, but they do seem to kick over after a while even if you don't restart them. It seems to be random which ones get hit and which ones don't. On my 4x machine, it has had some working and some stalled, with no apparent pattern. But they seem to get work eventually. Sometimes though they also seem to be unable to upload work.

My guess is the work server is running near capacity, but not quite going down.

I'm having the same problem since yesterday late afternoon too, and this morning also..... I too check the server stats, it said server is up and running.... sometimes just a single restart client doesn't help neither, needs a few times. or it will pick up a WU eventually.... it's really a luck of draw of getting a WU tho....

Stanford's site is saying they are having issues. I had the same problem too. Prob b/c everyone is going for GPU work units now!

I sometimes have luck by either manually restarting the client, or by rebooting the computer. Hopefully they will get this worked our soon!

I just had the same issue today with my brand spanking new 9800GT, the first WU came in right away but the second didn't want to dl at all for about an hour. I restarted the client a couple of times and bingo, a new WU is being crunched on ATM. :beer: I do hope they get this fixed soon as I have to sleep sometime instead of restarting the client every 2.5 hours. Other than that, the client is performing beautifully on this card.:)
